00:00There were a lot of problems in my life when I was using this conditioner, but you know
00:07what?
00:08It's good to look back on it and, you know, we got through.
00:13We got through the struggle together.
00:15Hey Naturally Curly World, I'm Kristina.
00:17I'm Gerilyn.
00:18I'm Grace.
00:19And today we're talking about the best ever...
00:21The best ever?
00:23The best ever conditioners under $5.
00:26Let's be honest, we're all tired of spending money on hair products sometimes.
00:31It's just like, I just want something good and cheap.
00:34How hard is that to do?
00:35It's all I want.
00:36Well, I have something for you.
00:38This is the Trader Joe's Tea Tree Tingle Conditioner.
00:41My favorite conditioner under $5 is the Aussie Mega Moist Conditioner.
00:47I think that the best conditioner under $5 is by Suave.
00:52Suave Essentials to be exact.
00:54Before I started working at Naturally Curly, I didn't use any hair products that were over
00:59like $5.
01:00I remember organics being so luxury I never purchased anything, you know, above like $5 or $6.
01:09When I had to choose between $1 shampoo and $1 conditioner, always went with the conditioner.
01:17Because I knew that I could put some leftover oils in here, like some olive oil, and get
01:23my hair strands as soft as they could possibly be for less than $5.
01:27It is part of their like salon line, but it's only $4.
01:32It's $3.99 at Trader Joe's.
01:34And it has really good ingredients.
01:37Tea tree leaf, peppermint, eucalyptus.
01:40The biggest standout for this product is the slip.
01:44I don't think I found anything else that helps me detangle and run my fingers or my comb through
01:50my hair as well as this does.
01:52Nettle, thyme, birch bark, chamomile, sage.
01:55There are different fragrances.
01:57So there's the strawberry, there's one that's like vanilla, coconut, there's all different types.
02:06But it was always the waterfall mist that I reached for because there's something really
02:11fresh about it and very soothing.
02:14And I wanted it to kind of be a salve for my very much brokenness at the time.
02:21It's like cash, negative flow, whatever colt's foot is.
02:25Sounds sketch.
02:26Horsetail, soybean protein, vitamin E, citric acid, and grapefruit.
02:31It's a lot of solid ingredients.
02:34They also have a shampoo.
02:37That's a tea tree tingle shampoo.
02:39That is amazing.
02:40Now, of course, what you're paying for is the ingredients.
02:43So for example, this does contain bisaminopropyl dimethicone.
02:50Which is a non-water soluble silicone.
02:55So if you're curly girl method or if you avoid silicones, this isn't going to work for you.
03:02If you run out of conditioner and if you run out of shampoo, get yourself one of your favorite oils.
03:08Cocktail it into your conditioner.
03:11Shake it up real good and use it as a co-wash.
03:14And then you will be set, okay?
03:17It's like so invigorating.
03:19It's like minty and fresh.
03:21And like when you use the shampoo and the conditioner, you're just like all tingly and awake.
03:25It's a great line to use in the morning.
03:28And it really is like a solid, solid conditioner.
03:32I use it a lot with the shampoo just for something easy and basic.
03:36I live right across the street from a Trader Joe's.
03:38So if I ever run out, I just run over there.
03:40I always purchase everything by the cents per ounce.
03:46If I'm looking at vegetables, pasta sauce, anything, I want to compare it not by the price, but by the price per ounce.
03:54If you get this size, which is 13.5 fluid ounces, it works out to be about 22 cents per ounce.
04:01You know, less than $5.
04:03I'm telling y'all, I think this is like anywhere between $1 to $3 at like H-E-B, Randall's, the Dollar Store, Dollar General, Family Dollar, you know, all the dollars.
04:15And if you buy the even larger size, you've probably seen it.
04:19It has the pump on it.
04:21It's like a big, almost salon size.
04:24That's still under $5.
04:25That's like $4.95.
04:27And that works out to be 16 cents per ounce.
04:31I'd like to hear from you guys.
04:33What is your favorite conditioner under $5?
