00:11All of the brands that are in our Watch and Go's are participating in our Texture on
00:15the Runway fashion show in New York that's happening during New York Fashion Week.
00:19So today we're going to be putting Curlformers in my hair!
00:23Today I will be reviewing War of the Planet of the Apes.
00:27I did not starve this warm.
00:40But I will finish it.
00:50My hair is already pretty clean because I washed it a few days ago, so I'm just going to wet
00:53it and put a little bit of leave-in in it and then we'll get started.
00:57I'm going to have my coworker Jennifer come help me because she's the only one in the
01:01office who really knows how to do this.
01:03Hi!
01:04Word in the YouTube comments is I don't have curly hair, so I was like, okay, how can I get
01:10curly hair?
01:11So I was like, let me get some Curlformers.
01:13These are corkscrew, they're the tightest curl curlformer there is.
01:20So, you know, maybe if I just start doing these every day, y'all will accept me.
01:25They come in a few different sizes.
01:27Barrel, spiral, and corkscrew, that's from biggest to smallest.
01:31War of the Planet of the Apes is the third installment of the Planet of the Apes series.
01:37And the reason I went is because one of my friends wanted to go.
01:40I was not super gung ho about it.
01:42I was like, monkey movie?
01:43I could pass.
01:44I hadn't seen any of the other movies.
01:47Monkeys acting like they're human kind of freaks me out.
01:50The whole CGI monkey thing in general kind of freaks me out.
01:54But I was actually really impressed with how amazing the graphics looked.
01:58I think they stepped up their game from the last couple of movies.
02:02That made it a lot more interesting because the monkeys look so realistic and they're having
02:08all these complex emotions.
02:10Also, I thought the movie did a really good job of giving back story because I had never
02:17seen any of the other movies, so I was like, I don't even know if I'm going to understand
02:20this movie.
02:21The way I understand it is there's this simian flu that makes humans basically regress and
02:28turn kind of into monkeys.
02:30They lose their ability to speak and kind of regress evolutionarily.
02:37So the humans in the movie are trying to kill all these monkeys so that the flu will stop
02:42spreading, I think.
02:43They caused this problem.
02:44That's what I just kept thinking the whole time.
02:46I was like, y'all caused this problem.
02:49Humans are the reason why these monkeys are riding horses around and using machine guns
02:54and stuff.
02:55If you would have just left well enough alone, humans, everything would be fine.
02:58Now, Woody Harrelson is generally a good actor, which is why I was so confused about why he
03:06was such trash in this movie.
03:08He was so bad, y'all.
03:09He was so bad.
03:10He plays like this alcoholic colonel, I think he's a colonel, who wants to kill all the monkeys
03:17and everyone, every human who has the simian flu.
03:21We're going to use a different size of curlformer in addition to the size we already used.
03:26This one has a slightly bigger width.
03:29This is probably like a 3A, whereas this is a 3B.
03:32This will give you a more natural curl look.
03:35People don't just have one curl type all over their head, you guys.
03:38They have multiple curl types.
03:40In some places, I am a 1C, so stop bullying me about it.
03:46The monkeys that Caesar, the leader, left to go avenge his family's death on Woody Harrelson,
03:54he leaves his monkey pack or whatever they're called.
03:59What's a bunch of monkeys called?
04:02I don't know.
04:03Monkey pack.
04:04He leaves his monkey pack and he goes to kill Woody Harrelson because he's mad because
04:09Woody Harrelson's army killed his family.
04:13But then, Woody Harrelson's army finds the monkey pack and imprisons them all.
04:17So then, Caesar has to save them.
04:20Basically, he screwed himself over by leaving his monkey pack and now they're all in prison.
04:26As very weird kind of like internment camp vibes.
04:31With these sagas, there's no end in sight ever.
04:35So you think it's over and then there's just another movie and another movie.
04:39And this was the third movie and I was like, this is a third movie, it's not gonna be any
04:43good.
04:44But you know what?
04:45Godfather 3 wasn't bad and year was this.
04:47I think the point of this movie was to like touch on all the ways that humans can really
04:52screw up the world.
04:53It's kind of allegorical for like how humans are gonna have to deal with the ramifications
04:58of the things that they do.
05:00From global warming to putting mutated viruses in monkeys, you know?
05:03Maybe we just shouldn't, you know?
05:06The CGI monkeys really do creep me out.
05:08It's just weird to see human expressions on a monkey.
05:12So I, but I thought I was gonna be a lot more creeped out than I was.
05:15So once I like got into the movie, I was like, okay, I'm done with this.
05:18I think they must have used so much CGI for like all of the landscapes.
05:23And it was also, it was just like a really pretty movie in general, which I wasn't expecting.
05:27Like the quality of the movie was really, really good.
05:30So.
05:31Okay.
05:32So we're gonna finish this up.

05:36So we've finished putting in the curlformers, Jennifer, what's next?
05:42Next we are going to dry.
05:43You can air dry or we can add the fabulous hood.

05:50We did a test curl.
05:56That's advised to take a test curl out before you take the rest of them out, just to make
06:01sure that it's completely dry.
06:03And now we're going to take them out.
06:05The best way to take it out, hold the top, straighten it out, straighten the curlformer
06:10out and you pinch at the top and pull.
06:19This is what my hair looks like right out of the curlformers.
06:21I haven't done anything to it except take the curlformers out.

06:25I think it looks fantastic.

06:33So I'm going to rate Planet of the Apes, the new one.
06:39I'm going to give it three and a half out of five.
06:42I really liked it.
06:43I thought it was a really solid movie.
06:45I was glad that it was more than just like a war movie.
06:49They actually incorporated some interesting thoughts about humans and how they act and
06:55how they're destroying the planet.
06:57I don't know if I'd say another one.
06:59I would probably go with a friend.
07:00I wouldn't like seek it out on my own.
07:02I got really good results with these curlformers.
07:04My hair is definitely super curly now, as you can tell.
