00:00I'll bet my last dollar that your mum will sit in bed, cry when you tell her how quick you were going tonight, I'll bet on it.
00:10Do you know how quick you were travelling?
00:15Yeah, you certainly did. Oh sorry, 189.
00:2089 kilometres an hour over the speed limit. What could go wrong you reckon?
00:26You're a P1 are you?
00:29How old are you?
00:31You're 17.
00:38Oh I'm not shocked at 189 kilometres an hour.
00:42Dude, we're going to be calling your parents.
00:45Do you want to ring them now?
00:51You're 17, you've got your whole life ahead of you.
00:53You've got an 89 kilometres open speed limit and you've had your licence.
00:58Cool, like what's that, two months?
01:03I think to be honest you need to go home and have it along with it yourself.
01:06I'll probably wake your mum up when you get home and sit down and talk to her about what happened tonight and she's going to get a call or a visit from us and we'll talk to her. We need to talk to her about what's happened.
01:19So just to put it into perspective, you're travelling at just over 51 metres a second at that speed. So you're travelling half a football field every second.
01:31Now at that speed your car would take two to three seconds if not more to even start braking and slowing down once you slam the brakes on. More. So your stopping distance would be massive.
01:45So you're going to lose your licence for a long period of time and to be honest if I had my choice, you know, I agree with that.
