00:17And the girls, they don't seem to have that sort of rigor to go back and forth with each other

00:52The episode opens with Shamia and Kelly chatting it up poolside,
00:56and this is where Kelly introduces the cash trip,
00:59and the girls are going to Grenada.
01:00And she also opens up here a little bit about her divorce
01:03and how it's really taking a toll on her emotionally, financially, and mentally.
01:08But I have to say the highlight of this week's episode has to be
01:12the fact that Britt throws this country club shapewear launch event.
01:16What I love about Britt throwing this event right is that all new housewives
01:22kind of go through their own hazing process,
01:24and these ladies do not play about a trip.
01:27These ladies do not play about an event.
01:30If something goes wrong, you will hear about it,
01:33and people will be looking at you sideways.
01:36We're the whores of whores.
01:38Refresh my glass.
01:39What was really funny about this event is between production behind the scenes
01:44and the ladies there.
01:45There was a lot of shared confusion about what the purpose of the event was,
01:49why they were at a country club, and how it all tied together.
01:54And what was so funny about that is that Britt makes a point to say that,
01:58oh, it doesn't all have to go together for me to have an event,
02:02but it kind of does.
02:04It definitely, like, everything was a little bit disjointed.
02:08And what I think that this episode reminded me of is the real Housewives of Atlanta,
02:13real fans, real watchers,
02:15do y'all remember when Dwight said all of those years ago about She by Sheree?
02:19Who was this wonderful person that was given a fashion show with no fashions?
02:22How dreadful.
02:23That is exactly the thought I had in watching Britt host this event.
02:28And honestly, the party planner had the right idea.
02:31Don't invite me anywhere I, one, have to stand up for a very long time,
02:35and two, I'm not really going to get fed and not getting fed the same thing that everybody else is eating.
02:40I'm going to try not to make, I got to take nobody.
02:42This is a hot mess.
02:46And Portia even says it in her own confessional, like, Atlanta is a hard place.
02:50If you don't have a good event or you don't have enough food, people will talk about you.
02:54And I think that is, especially being Southern, that is a true, like, core rule when it comes to hosting.
03:01You cannot run out of food.
03:02Angela opens the floor and she basically says, well, Charles doesn't have a side, baby.
03:09I don't know that that needed to be said at the table, but okay.
03:16And then Britt says back, well, I'm not one of Charles's whores.
03:20Where did that come from?
03:22Please tell me.
03:24Please, please make that make sense to me.
03:26That was just so unnecessary.
03:27And I feel like that is one of the cases to be made when people say that Britt may not be the best fit on this cast.
03:36Because where did that come from?
03:38And I think this is also where I have to stop parenthetically to say, a lot of the ladies in this group do not know how to read.
03:46And obviously, a lot of us are kind of stuck in the wonder years of Real Housewives of Atlanta, where we really had a golden era with Nene, Kenya, Cynthia.
03:59All of that cast dynamic, all of those ladies together was truly, truly amazing.
04:04But the ladies don't have good banter.
04:08Back to the event.
04:09So Britt, again, she introduces the product.
04:13She tells all the ladies about what it's about.
04:16And she shares a little bit about the kind of ethos behind the event and why she wanted to create this line.
04:23And she talked about some of the procedures that she had.
04:26And she gives all the ladies at the table a sample of the products.
04:31And so even more shade is thrown here because she gives Portia a size small and she gives Angela an extra large.
04:40That is like fun, like light shade, kind of.
04:44But it's like, okay, girl, whatever.
04:45How small?
04:46Extra large.
04:47Maybe she got this confused with the size of her toothbrush for her big mouth.
04:51That is so shady.
04:52So all of the guests who aren't sitting down, who aren't a part of the Real Housewives cast, they only get to eat hors d'oeuvres.
05:00They have to stand up and they don't get a sample of the product.
05:04I don't think that Britt should host any more events after this.
05:08Absolutely not.
05:10And so towards the end of the episode, we also get to see that Portia and we finally get to see Phaedra.
05:15They have a little sit down and Portia kind of gives Phaedra a rundown of all of the girls.
05:21And it's funny because Phaedra seems to already have the tea on each of the ladies.
05:28She goes as far as to call Kelly a garden gnome.
05:32And she says that Britt has more bodies than Willie.
05:38Okay.
05:39So we're off to a decent start.
05:43But I know that it's been widely contested and contended how people feel about Phaedra rejoining the cast.
05:49And so Essie's, I really want to know how are we feeling about this and what do we think about Phaedra joining?
05:55And, you know, she's honestly joining in the last few episodes of the season.
