00:00Fashion is a huge expression for me.
00:02I feel as though fashion
00:04somehow bleeds into my energy
00:06and helps me express myself.
00:08Sometimes I wear a shirt that may say something
00:10that I want to express verbally, but I can't.
00:12I let it speak or whatever mood I'm in.
00:14You can probably almost tell about what I'm wearing.
00:16If I put on a gown, I may feel grand.
00:18It helps me express it.
00:24My upbringing and my culture,
00:26growing up in the church,
00:28it's part of my upbringing,
00:30my culture as well.
00:32It can't help but to show up in the music
00:34and that's the base for me.
00:36I like to cater to it a lot of times
00:38but also it helps me expand
00:40myself and be open to other styles
00:42of music just the same.
00:46Musically, sometimes
00:48it's the expression that helps create
00:50the music. The more life you live, the more creative
00:52you can become in your craft.
00:54Even when it's a character, if I'm in film
00:56acting, I can pull from my own
00:58personal experiences to attach
01:00us to the character to help create
01:02the character. So I think they
01:04all kind of weld together
01:06and feed each other. I am a very
01:08curious person. That is what
01:10keeps me intrigued and interested
01:12and inspired to keep going.
01:14Part of my favorite thing of what I do is being
01:16around people who are specialists in what they do
01:18and because they're into it, I'm into it.
01:20And it inspires me, it intrigues me, and it makes
01:22me want to learn that much more.
01:24And my mother always taught us whatever you put
01:26your mind to, you can do it.
01:28And so every time I look and discover another
01:30thing, I'm like, hmm, I could do that.
01:32The only thing is I don't have enough time to do
01:34it all.
01:38I hope my lifestyle influences people
01:40in a positive way. There are
01:42negative influences out there just the same as
01:44they are positive. So,
01:46I feel like I've lived a lot of life
01:48and if I can
01:50inspire somebody, I want to inspire
01:52somebody. If I can help
01:54somebody, I want to help them,
01:56comfort them, I would like to do
01:58that. You know what I mean? I mean, we're all living life
02:00and
02:02I've lived a life that can speak to many things
02:04and so if I can be an example to someone
02:06on their journey, then
02:08that makes my life
02:10not in vain, honey.
02:12I have to give that to my mother. She says, you know,
02:14the fame doesn't matter to me.
02:16Your gift is the human
02:18being that you are. It's your person
02:20that I'm most proud of. So I would
02:22say that. Everything I do, it comes from the
02:24heart and what comes from the heart
02:26hopefully reaches the heart and when it's real
02:28that's when it resonates.
