00:00What made me create my Hogwarts HBCU strolling video is I saw, you know, Hogwarts Legacy and just like black Hogwarts content starts to trend on TikTok.
00:08And I was like, now, wait a minute. I've been making Hogwarts black content for like a year or so now.
00:14And I was like, I thought you're not about to have no fun without me.
00:26So I was like, let me hop on this. I saw like a video about strolling.
00:29And I was like, how can I figure out a new angle to this? Because I kept on getting like tagged in it.
00:35And I was like, let me figure out a way for me to put my own spin on it.
00:39And I thought of a distro and that starting a fight because that's something that happened so many times in college because I'm in a real sorority and it got get up.
00:46So I was like, let me do that. And it was just hilarious. It just worked out perfectly.
00:51So a few comments from my page that you guys pulled, I'll respond to them.
00:55Nobody's that hard in Ravenclaw. First of all, I'm offended.
00:58Because Ravenclaw is kind of like the nerdier house. And that don't mean that nerds can't get down.
01:04I am in a real sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated.
01:08And I used to make up strolls all the time.
01:10So I really was just improv-ing and just making something up that I would do in real life.
01:15So here's my Ravenclaw sign. I made up a hand sign.
01:18So like here's the R and here's the C. I guess this one would be clearer.
01:24So R, C. So we got...
01:27And then snake...
01:31So I cut the snake head off.
01:34Slither, cut.
01:35And then 1, 2, 3, 4.
01:40Okay?
01:41And then 5, 6, 7, 8.
01:45And then I don't have the rest of the stroll because we started fighting.
01:48And that's usually what happens in distro situations at parties.
01:52You're going to start fighting.
01:53And that's just what happened.
01:54So I just started, you know, windmilling after that.
01:57But that was the whole stroll.
01:58That was like 3, 8 counts.
01:59I'm not even sure how long that was.
02:01But that's how the stroll went.
02:03But yeah, I'm just glad that Black people have been able to create a safe space in the Harry Potter fandom.
02:09Because there aren't a lot of them.
02:10And just even where the fandom is today, it's a lot going on.
02:15And I'm glad that we found an area that we can appreciate.
02:18We found our own pocket to make it Black.
02:20Especially when...
02:21Especially with Harry Potter or any other really...
02:24A lot of these fantasy franchises don't have a lot of Black people and that's by design.
02:28And we can just kick that door down.
02:29It's like, okay, well, we're here though.
02:30We're here and we're creating this space.
02:31Now, Hogwarts at the HBCU.
02:33Hogwarts A&M.
02:34Like, we just keep on creating our own spaces.
02:37And I love that for us.
02:38And I hope we keep on doing it.
02:40And Hogwarts, the HBCU, HAMU, whatever.
02:44Hogwarts Homecoming.
02:45All of it is beautiful.
02:46And I'm just so grateful to be a part of it.
02:48And so grateful for the culture.
