00:00It's a pleasure to meet you.
00:01Thank you so much.
00:02I love this suit.
00:03I got a chance to, the last time I saw Marcus, he won't even recognize me.
00:06I interviewed him on the Willie Moore Jr. Show.
00:08This might have been two years ago, pandemic time.
00:11Yes, we had a good old time.
00:13You became one of my favorite people then.
00:14Thank you so much.
00:15Okay, so we're gonna talk about this suit.
00:17How would you describe this color, sir?
00:20A pop.
00:22My wife told me you have to have a pop of color.
00:25I'm more of a nostalgic type suit guy.
00:30But when I put this one on, I was like, I'm gonna kill him with it.
00:34Well, you're killing him.
00:35I do want to ask you, I had a conversation with Kimberly Martin just yesterday.
00:38She's one of my faves and we were talking about just what it's gonna take to
00:42continue to see black and brown women on the forefront in front of the camera,
00:46especially in the football space.
00:47For you, how cool has it been to really share the stage with women like black
00:51women like her?
00:52I mean, it's amazing.
00:53You know, my mother is a black woman, obviously.
00:55I know the strength.
00:56I know the power that comes behind that.
00:58I know the untold stories that come behind that.
01:01The journey is difficult.
01:03I hate that it has to still be that way, but I think we need to celebrate,
01:08uplift black women like yourself and like Kimberly and all across media.
01:12So everyone knows that this is to be celebrated, but more importantly,
01:17to be put in positions to show who you really are.
01:20And then when you get there, have the autonomy and freedom to be you authentically.
01:26So I think that's the key and for people like yourself to keep passing the message
01:30down to our young ones like that.
01:32I love it.
01:33One of the messages that you're trying to pass down, I saw you the other day talking
01:36about rule changes.
01:37You seemed a little perturbed, just a tad bit.
01:41What needs to happen for the NFL to get it right?
01:44He's deep sighing right now.
01:46The fumble out of the end zone thing just, this is what I said.
01:50Defensively, if you cause a fumble, like LeJerry Sneed did, goes out the back of the
01:56zone fair.
01:57Right?
01:58Touch back, y'all get the ball.
01:59If a guy's like reaching over the end zone with no contact from a defender and the ball
02:03slips out of his hand and goes out the back of the end zone, lose it down, go back to
02:06the 20 yard line and try to score again.
02:09It sucks that you take the opportunity for them to not score and give the ball away.
02:15It's a real personal thing for me.
02:17Let me lighten the mood.
02:19Let me lighten the mood.
02:20I know you're a Cowboy fan.
02:22Who you got?
02:23On Sunday, a lot of people just leaning in the Chiefs Mahomes direction, but I'm with
02:27the underdogs.
02:28I'm with Purdy this weekend.
02:29What say you?
02:30Well, you stay over there there, because I'm going to go Patrick Mahomes.
02:32I picked against him when they were in Baltimore.
02:35If anybody I thought would beat him, it would be the Ravens at home with Lamar Jackson, who
02:40probably is going to win the MVP tonight.
02:42Unfortunately, Pat Mahomes plays for the Chiefs.
02:45And as much as we want to fight it, I think we in his era.
02:49So I'm going to take the Chiefs.
