00:00My love for archive and vintage is probably from my grandmother's and taking me to thrift stores early, early, early, you know, in my life.
00:12When I was a little boy, I didn't really even understand where I was.
00:16I just knew it smelled funny.
00:19But then growing up and just keeping that memory and thrift stores, just being nostalgic and helping me remember my grandmother's legacy and our relationship.
00:30So that just that was part of it.
00:31And then also just me and my career, I always thought of myself as a storyteller.
00:36And I think that it just becomes a good story when when the clothes have lived another life, you know, and the way things wore, you know, just like when I put Zendaya in a piece that belonged to Eunice Johnson for when she received the Essence Award.
00:56And, you know, that that just became such a great story.
01:00And then also Eunice Johnson started trending on Twitter and people everybody wants to know who she was, who wasn't familiar with her and her story and the contributions of this black woman to fashion.
01:12So it's just that it's just it's just it's all about storytelling.
01:15We'll see you next time.
01:15You
