Transcript
00:00Success for me is to be able to put the Woman King into the world.
00:05Like, the Woman King is in the world and doing what we had hoped it would do
00:10in terms of inspiring us, in terms of allowing us to see ourselves
00:13in a way we haven't been able to see, to tell our history in the right way.
00:19So much of our history is wrong and has been told wrongly.
00:24So to be able to write that, it was an incredible thing.
00:28So that part of it, I will never let go of, you know, that pride of what we did.
00:35And certainly it's a beautiful thing that, in terms of awards, you know,
00:40the AFCO awards and the Image Awards and Black Rail Awards, like, they all see us.
00:46We're being awarded, you know, as the best film of the year.
00:50Like, that means so much.
00:51Essence and the support that you guys have given to the film, like, that means so much.
