01:01Tiffany. Hey, Queen. Hey there. Thanks so much for having me on.
01:07Absolutely. Okay. So we're going to get into all of these scents. We're going to get into
01:12all of the intention that was behind this brand, but first, I want you to tell us,
01:18how did you get here? How did you come up with this incredible line?
01:21Absolutely. Absolutely. Talk about a journey. So this all started in my kitchen when my daughter,
01:26Taylor, was born with eczema. I never dreamed of launching a natural skincare line or anything
01:30like that. I was a mom and my daughter had eczema, and I didn't want to use any harsh chemicals on her
01:35skin. So I literally got in the kitchen and started mixing natural, organic ingredients. And the good
01:41news is they worked. And now here we are in Walmart and Target stores nationwide.
01:45First of all, this is life-changing. My daughter has eczema as well. And I did not even think
01:51of using the Glam Scrub. I'm just trying to smell good, but this is like,
01:56this is like life-changing. So you have, it's not just cosmetic, right? You have so much intention
02:05behind it with no animal testing. Can you talk a little bit about why you wanted to be so ethically
02:11sourced with your product? Absolutely. You know, I'm a firm believer that when you put something
02:16out there, this was developed with my daughter in mind. And I know that just as though I never want
02:20to put anything harsh or dangerous on my daughter's skin, no one else would either. And so this was
02:26actually created with other moms, aunties, grandmoms, family members in mind. And so for that reason,
02:32it was very, very important because if it's safe enough for my daughter's skin, you best believe
02:36it's safe enough for yours. Oh, I love that. Okay. I'm dying to open these and sniff them once again
02:43because they just bring me joy. Imagine starting your day just with this whiff of joy every single
02:49day. That's what this is going to give you. And your skin is going to be skinning too. But okay.
02:55What's the first one that you want to go through here? Absolutely. The one you have in your hand
02:59actually there, that is the Lavender Lush. And what's wonderful about the scrub is that that one
03:04is actually infused with lavender essential oils. So not a fragrance oil, but lavender essential oils.
03:10And, you know, as we emerge from COVID and the pandemic, it's so important. We learned that it's
03:15so important to be able to relax, to release, to relate, to rejuvenate. And so that's all captured
03:21in that Lavender Lush. It's going to exfoliate and moisturize the skin, but it's also going to leave
03:26you with the calming effects from the actual lavender essential oils. So very calming,
03:31very relaxing at the end of a long, hard day. It's the perfect, perfect pampering idea for you
03:36for self-care. Oh my gosh. Okay. So that's another thing I skipped over. Lavender has such relaxing
03:44properties. It's such a natural, relaxing property. And even as I was using every single one of the
03:51scrubs today, I love it. As I was using it, there's a sensory like massaging part to it. When you're
03:59going up and down your legs, you kind of feel it all over your body. Exactly. That's the idea. And that's
04:05part of why exfoliation is so important because when you're exfoliating, you're actually improving
04:10that circulation. You're actually getting those new skin cells to come up to the surface and you're
04:15getting rid of all of the dead skin cells. So it definitely serves that purpose, which is why it feels
04:20so good going on. And mine is a two-part system because the sugar or the coffee or the brown sugar,
04:26that's actually exfoliating, but the oils are designed to seal in the moisture. So if you notice
04:31when you're done, your skin is satiny smooth. You don't need to slather on anything else. You're good to
04:37go. So you've got smelling good and you're looking good as well. Let me tell y'all how much this has
04:43completely cut down my shower routine. Cause I absolutely, after I get out of the shower, you put this
04:49harsh soap on your body. It's dries out your skin. Then you have to slather top to bottom on some kind
04:56of lotion or butter or something with this. When I tell you my skin is smoother than ever. And I didn't
05:03have to do that step. You hook us up. Thank you. That's the idea. That's the idea. We want to make
05:10sure that we exfoliate with the time that we have in the mornings and the evenings as well. So absolutely.
05:15So good. What's the next thing you want to highlight?
05:19Also have lemon, our lemon. Now that one is infused with lemon and that's a perfect pick
05:24me up in the morning. It's got the bright yellow. So it's like designed to, to start off your day
05:29with a lemon burst, if you will. It's a great pick me up. It's a great wake me up. It's just
05:33the opposite of the lavender because it's designed again to stimulate those sensory cells, like you said,
05:38and get you up and going. And it still exfoliates and moisturizes at the same time in the same
05:43way that the lavender does. Oh, she's got us covered morning, noon, and night with this. This in the
05:49morning is literally like sunshine. You're, you're exfoliating with sunshine, waking you up in the
05:55morning. Lemon is such a natural, like nice rejuvenating scent. And then you got the lavender
06:01natural to calm you down at night. Really, really great. All right. She's not done. She is not done.
06:08There's more. We've got the bubbling brown sugar. Now the bubbling brown sugar, that's our signature
06:14one. In fact, that one is available in an eight ounce, but also a lot of people, they wanted
06:20something they could travel with that would be TSA approved. So that one's in a two ounce as well.
06:24So when you're in your target store, you can check in the mini section and you can actually see that
06:28two ounce size. And when I tell you the bubbling brown sugar, I call it the signature one because
06:32it has just been amazing. Everyone it's like to try it is to buy it. And that was actually the first one
06:38that we started with. And it's perfect for fall because it kind of has that warm kind of buttery
06:44honey, brown sugar, really, really sweet and fragrant. And yet the brown sugar is a great
06:50humectant. It's great for exfoliating and the oils are moisturizing the skin as well.
06:55All right. I would like to think I'm smart, but I don't know what humectant means. Can you talk about
06:59that? What is that? All of them. It's just bringing in that moisture, sealing it in and helping to
07:05combat the dryness. As we shift and we transition from summer into fall and then into winter,
07:10it is so imperative and so crucial that we seal in moisture every way that we can and that we make
07:15sure that our skins are getting the oils that they need so that we can avoid the dryness, the chafing,
07:20the itching that comes sometimes with the fall season. That is so good. And if I could just,
07:26this scent right here, this bubbling brown sugar, it's literally like you could put it in the oven
07:31and make a cookie. Like that's, that is what is given. It is so, it's so delightful. It is so
07:38absolutely delightful. And I love, love that. All right. She's not done. Still not done y'all. Keep
07:43going. Oh, absolutely. We've got also strawberry crush. Now the strawberry crush, that one is a nice
07:49fruity, pick me up wonderful one too. And it actually smells of fresh strawberries. And so that's
07:55a great fun scent. It smells really good. It smells like fresh strawberries, but at the same time,
07:59it's still going to exfoliate and moisturize the skin at the same time.
08:05The strawberry y'all again, another like, Oh, it smells so good. And they all,
08:14all every single one of them has great moisturizing properties and you feel like you have new skin after.
08:21Absolutely. Yeah. Absolutely. I love this one too. Is that the matter about mango?
08:30This is mad about mango. You make it really, really hard here. Cause if I had to pick my
08:35favorite, it would be impossible. Like seriously. You know, it's funny. I get asked that all the
08:38time. They say, well, what's one is your favorite? I'm like, that's asking, like asking the mom to
08:41choose who's her favorite child. And you know, we can't do that. So yes, the matter about mango is
08:47absolutely wonderful for people who love this center fresh mango. They just think like, Oh my God,
08:51this is absolutely amazing. And the wonderful thing is just like the other ones. There's no animal testing,
08:55no harsh chemicals, no added artificial preservatives or anything like that. And yet they still leave you
09:01smelling amazing and leave your skin completely exfoliated and moisturized as well. So they all
09:06have the same wonderful healing properties for our skin, but they smell so awesome. And it's designed,
09:12as you can see, you can see that it's a thick scrub. It's not designed. It's not water-based at all,
09:17which means that you're able to actually cup it in your hand and you're actually able to apply it
09:22directly to the skin and you're actually able to apply it and directly exfoliate. In other words,
09:27it's not going to run through your fingers. You're going to actually cup it and exfoliate for as long
09:31or as little time as you may have. You get to control the amount of pressure as well. If you
09:36really want it, like we fit those heels and you want to get the back of those heels really, really
09:39good. You just cup it and you exfoliate for as long as you want to. But if you're in a quick hurry,
09:43just want a quick rub down, then you can do that too.
09:45So good. Okay. So if somebody's not about that scrub life, how, and they're just starting with
09:53glam body scrub, cause come on, y'all need to try this out here. How often would you recommend,
10:00like if I'm doing lavender in the, at night and then lemon in the day, or should I do that every
10:06other day? Like how many body scrubs is good? Sure. And it depends on, on your skin type. And if you
10:12have sensitive skin, you may not want to exfoliate every day, but I'll tell you what, as we get into
10:16the colder weather, when it comes to our heels and our feet, I think exfoliation is like daily.
10:21It's a daily necessity. And the heels, our feet are, are usually that skin is thick enough and
10:26tough enough that it can actually handle that. So again, if it's the feet daily, especially at
10:31nighttime, because they say that's the best place for the oils to really get in and to provide the
10:34most healing is through the heels, the soles of your feet. So that one I can recommend like every day,
10:39if you're just getting started, you want to do it just a few times a week, as opposed to every day.
10:43But then as your skin, as you exfoliate and you, that wonderful, those new skills, skin cells come
10:48to the surface, then you're able to be a little more tolerant and you can exfoliate more often
10:52should you want to do so. So, but yeah, knees, elbows, and heels, you got to hit them as often as
10:57you can. Come on, hit them as often as you can. I love that. And you're, there might be somebody
11:03sitting at home right now, like, Hmm, I might need to be exfoliating. I put on lotion and by the
11:09afternoon, I'm looking ashy, like I've been kicking some baby powder and it's probably because
11:15you have layers and layers of dead skin. You need to be exfoliating life here. Yes. Absolutely.

11:56Can you talk a little bit about what that has been like for you and scaling your business?
12:00Yes. Absolutely. I'll tell you, being a part of the new voices family has been absolutely
12:05incredible. You know, oftentimes I talk about a time that, you know what, I am not a third,
12:10fourth generation entrepreneur. I'm a first generation entrepreneur and I did not grow up
12:14with a silver spoon in my mouth. I didn't grow up knowing entrepreneurship, didn't grow up knowing
12:18business. You know, my mom hails proudly from the projects of being still. Okay. So when you're out
12:23here jumping into this uncharted territory called entrepreneurship, it presents a unique set of challenges
12:29challenges that, you know, other people may not face. And so to have a support system,
12:34to have access to programs, to have information available, to have the camaraderie and the support
12:40of other black female founders. In my own description, I call it priceless because, you know, it's,
12:46it's one thing when you're going through it, but as a, as a founder, you have a unique set of issues
12:51that you deal with on a daily basis. And if a person is not grinding every day and they're not in that
12:56same mode, it can be kind of hard to relate. You're not necessarily relatable as a black founder.
13:00And so to have others that you can, like I said, talk to and, and just share the, the, like she said,
13:06the joys, the highs and the lows with that is absolutely incredible. And the training and the
13:11resources, I'll tell you what, it was like, this is, where have you been all my life? Honestly,
13:16it's like, it's everything that you need. And I am so thankful and so eternally grateful just to be a
13:21part of the new voices family. Oh, so, so good. And I do hope that I see you at essence festival
13:27or at one of our events because new voices it's all in the ecosystem. And I think that's also great
13:33as well. So happy to have you on today's show. Tiffany, you are so amazing. And I am so grateful
