00:00yeah i did have reginae at an extremely young age and we kind of grew up together but one thing i
00:05will say that i've always kept it separate i've never been like her friend growing up i has all
00:10you know i've always been her mother um in the beginning we went through things like every other
00:16mother and daughter when we bump heads like don't necessarily be able to see eye to eye but as
00:22reginae grew up and you know she started to mature and go through different things in life
00:28and we we started to get closer and closer so now at this age of her you know approaching 25
00:35it's like now we do have like a different level like where i can say she feels like i'm her friend
00:41like she can tell me everything right we have that let her tell her i'm her best friend like
00:50and i love it you know because i want my daughter to be able to come to me for
00:53everything and talk to me about everything people know us from social media
00:59it's moving down but now it's time to turn up with the people whose life matters to us the most
01:04our family and lovers you're so fine
01:10you really want a baby yes online we look picture perfect but offline our lives are far from it
01:19i'm really excited for you guys congratulations on your new series toya and reginae how are you guys
01:24feeling about it as the premiere is coming around and everybody's going to see maybe a different side
01:29of you your relationships how are you feeling i'm feeling i'm feeling good you know you always get that
01:36little nervous little kick like right before the show airs or whatever because you're opening your life
01:42up to the whole world to come in and have an opinion but i'm excited and you know i'm happy for the new
01:49season yes i'm excited too i'm ready for people to see this new um you know new adult me i feel like
01:59everybody's seeing me as a kid on reality tv so now they see like me maturing and becoming into you
02:07know myself for real the grown me i understand i love that and you know something that i noticed
02:15that i realized actually was that you guys have been like you mentioned on reality tv before mostly in
02:20like ensemble situation and i know toy obviously you had the series with tiny so that wasn't a
02:25ensemble but you weren't you know it wasn't the focus was on you um so now that the focus is going
02:31to be on the both of you directly in your lives like how are you feeling are you i know you mentioned
02:37a few little bit of nerves but is it a nice change an adjustment that you may not have to deal with like
02:43other personalities things like that how are you feeling um we're really good it's actually still a
02:49family show with like you know different family members so you know how it is when you're working with
02:55your family so it's like a different level of emotions and like family drama you have the good
03:03stuff you have the not so pretty glitz and glamour stuff um i just feel like the most important thing
03:12is to be able to show the viewer that outside of all of the things that they see us post on instagram
03:18the good the nice beautiful trips we take the the also glamorous life you get to see that deep down
03:25inside we are human like we are just like y'all we go through the same things we have family drama we
03:31have our ups and downs good days bad days and at the end of the day we still have to put on a smile
03:36and keep it going like when we step outside you know i love that i love that and regina as you mentioned
03:43like we're going to see like a different version of you from much younger years that you were on like
03:48growing up hip-hop things like that um so what are you excited about getting to showcase of this
03:53new chapter in your life you being very mature you know you create a career living your life
03:59what is exciting about that for you um i'm excited because i feel like the world has seen me grow and
04:07it's exciting to see like this person that i'm coming into i feel like i'm excited about the i'm
04:14excited about the new me too i feel like i'm still growing and still learning at each and every day but
04:20the world did see me so young so i feel like i want them to understand that i am human i do also just
04:27because my dad's little wayne i do have to work for everything that i want it's just not given to me
04:33or handed to me i feel like i gotta work harder because of the the step i have to take outside of my
04:40parents and being my own person so i just want people to understand that you know i'm human i
04:46do make mistakes and i also learn from them and i want to be a better person as i get like you know
04:53as i'm growing and how would you ladies describe the relationship that you've been able to foster as
04:57mother and daughter because you know obviously toy i know you had uh janae when you were young and so
05:03some people feel like when you have children young they're like your friends at the same time as you're a
05:07child so how do you have you know have a balance in that relationship of being mother and daughter
05:12and also being a friend in a supportive way to her yeah i did have virginia at an extremely young age
05:19and we kind of grew up together but one thing i will say that i've always kept it separate i've never

06:10everything and talk to me about everything because you do have a village within me and my friends my
06:16family like we are your village you know i always have to run to social media or other people for
06:22you know to feel like for validation right or yeah to express yourself like i'm here for you always
06:29and i'm glad that our relationship is flourishing and it's getting even closer than ever as she grow
06:35because now your kids need you like they really do and what is it about your mom reginae that makes
06:40her in your mind because she's like she ain't my best friend but what is it about her that makes
06:47her your best friend um she might she might say i'm not her best friend me and my mother talks all day
06:55we give each other advice now i feel like now that i'm older i feel like the world has changed like now so
07:01it's like certain things where my mom is looking at it like you know back in the day i was like
07:06y'all kids but then i tell her like you know mom this is happening and she you know and she understands
07:11i feel like that's one thing about a mother and daughter relationship you guys keep each other
07:16on going on on game like you know so that's one thing about that i love my mom i feel like she keep me on
07:23on my toes and she always she always makes sure that no matter what no matter how old i am she is my
07:30mother and i will always have that respect for her because when i was younger she did it she
07:35wasn't my friend and that's why i love that about her nice i love that and so what will we see you
07:41guys deal with on the show as you mentioned you it's not just you two it's gonna be your entire
07:45family so what are some of the things that your fans can expect you to kind of confront on the
07:50series was it going to be you know just i'ma let you tell me okay so on this season you know i have
07:58my mom my sister my brother my husband you know i have friends that's also on the show you will see
08:05like the different family dynamic and like you know because we are like who we are in the family
08:12like people expectations of what they think we supposed to do and how things are supposed to go
08:17the different levels of relationships because me and my siblings didn't really grow up together
08:22because of our situation growing up with our parents and how it affects you know how things
08:27affect you you know as you're growing up and you're trying to build and grow um a lot of childhood
08:33trauma how it seems to play out throughout your life as you're growing and you know just like
08:40things like will resonate her situation with her relationship her growing her business moves like
08:47a lot of different things and how a person you know you you try to set boundaries and how hard
08:53it is when it's your family and how difficult that is for some people and how others it may be easier
08:59so it's like a lot of different things that you will see that definitely will be relatable to
09:04the audience because i'm sure each and every last one of the viewers have somebody that they can
09:10identify with on the show or a situation they can identify with and both of you i'm going to ask
09:16i'll start with you of course soya what is something from watching yourself on these past series
09:22that you're like when it comes time for this one maybe i'll do this differently or something that you
09:27kind of learned about yourself that you're like okay i'm about to shift the way that i respond to this
09:32or how i do this oh i learned that i really think that i can save the world and change things a lot
09:41and i also learned from my family that i'm hard i'm kind of hard to talk to
09:45that's what i say yeah somebody agrees what about you what about you i learned to you know be patient
09:56with things um also like start not let so many things around me get me like deter my emotions like
10:08i feel like when you allow things and people to mess up your emotions and how you act or how you
10:15you feel that's when it's a problem reggie for you you know people often like if it's one thing
10:20reggie gonna do she gonna go hard for her daddy exactly but i was gonna ask you what is it like
10:28what is it about your relationship with your mother and so much that you love about her that you want
10:32to go as hard for her too like what should people know about your mom because we see you when your
10:36dance music come on it's like we ready for it but you could go hard for your mom like what is it about
10:44her that you just wanted people to know that is just amazing and that you love about her most
10:50well one thing like i well people already know i feel like more people come up to me and tell me
10:56they love my mom like and i love that but i feel like it's just how she moves and how she carry herself
11:02like my mother is so like independent but then like it's a soft like it's like she's soft too like she's
11:10like very like she she just excuse exudes like radiance like i don't know it's something about
11:18it like even when she make me mad i can't be mad at her for too long because she teaches me a lot
11:24and i don't know what i would do without her like honestly like that's like my rock i don't know like
11:31she's just my best friend i don't care i'm hers too
11:36yeah you're my best girl oh i love that you can never say too many sweet things about your mother
11:42out here so that's amazing so but one more thing one more thing my mom gets to her bag and that's
11:50one thing that i respect for her because she taught me to get to my bag no don't depend on no man
11:55nobody around no nothing get your own so when you do get with someone y'all both making it you
12:02add and y'all y'all turning each other up like y'all y'all both are in situations where you both can be
12:07happy you're not looking at like i just love that i don't depend on nobody it's a lot of our generation
12:12where they want the young guys that's in their 20s to to like really take care of them and do this
12:19and do that when it's like you gotta come in there and have something about yourself too you gotta
12:24bring something to the table too so i respect that my mom taught me that so i'm not out here
12:28like bring me money i love that i love that well i'm really excited to see this dynamic between you
