00:06esteemed dermatologist and an expert on all things skin care.
00:10In partnership with Juergens, we are going to explore all of the beautiful benefits of
00:15the Juergens Melanin Glow Illuminating Moisturizer.
00:17Dr. Lam, I am so excited to be here with you.
00:22It's definitely to me that intersection of culture that I love, taking our backgrounds
00:27and who we are and what we've struggled with.
00:29Being a black dermatologist, I just think that there is such an experience, right?
00:35Let's dive into these two SKUs that we have right here.
00:39The Juergens Melanin Glow comes in both gold and also in bronze.
00:44Let's start to apply some of these products.
00:48First of all, it smells amazing, right?
00:51And it's just a very subtle scent, enough to kind of like turn a shoulder, but not overpowering.
00:57One of my first reactions was first, you know, how it smells.
01:00So it's light.
01:02It's something that you could use year round.
01:04Also, I think you mentioned this, it gives you the glow without covering your skin.
01:08I don't like sticky moisturizers at all.
01:12And I think that when you are normally working with ingredients that are around shea butter
01:16or cocoa butter, they can sometimes have that tendency.
01:19Too heavy.
01:20Yeah.
01:21And that doesn't give me that.
01:22My patients ask me all the time.
01:24They want a moisturizer that they can use after the bath or shower.
01:27What's wonderful about this one is you can use it any time of year.
01:30It gives you that light moisture, but also enough hydration that you would feel like if
01:34your skin's a little on the drier side that you would want to reach for it.
01:38Yes.
01:39And then we also have this bronze as well.
01:41What I instantly notice about bronze, because I really do believe that bronze can mean such
01:45a variety of things, especially for melanated skin, is that it has a little bit of a reddish
01:50undertone that I really think is beneficial to melanated skin.
01:54It absorbs very quickly.
01:56It's sheer.
01:57And I think it also just helps to amplify this bronze that I've already got going on on my skin.
02:02I think that's really wonderful, too, and shows the research that went in to really
02:06creating some tones that were going to accent our skin and complement it without making it
02:11look distorted.
02:12And so you might actually have both of these products on your shelf, because it depends
02:16on if it's in the summer or the winter, if you just took a recent vacation.
02:19You know, again, people, darker skin, it actually can change tones.
02:22You know, we can tan as well.
02:25So what's wonderful about these is that they can really bring out the tones.
02:28It really helps to highlight to take it to a next level.
02:31What I believe is this product fills the gap of being something where it definitely still
02:37adds that glow and radiance that I know a lot of melanated folks are looking for.
