Venezuelan expats in Madrid happy about US intervention

Some Venezuelans living in Spain celebrated reports of the US strikes in Venezuela in the early hours of Jan 3 following months of threats by the White House against Venezuela's leader Nicolas Maduro.  They said they had been waiting for US intervention for some time and they believed the country was moving towards freedom. 00:21With nerves, but at the same time, I'm happy for what's going on.

00:38In some way, all Venezuelans want freedom.

00:43And although it's strong what people are living in Caracas,

00:47I believe that there is a light that will lead to freedom.

00:53It's surprising, because all these years waiting for one this news,

00:57we never believed it.

00:59I was at least one of those who didn't believe it.

01:02And waking up with this, it's something very emotional.

01:07It's something that had to happen.

01:09Maybe for many people it's not the right way,

01:13but unfortunately, the regime, the narco regime that we have in Venezuela,

01:21they often announced that for the good ones they were not going to do,

01:23and that for the good ones they were not going to do,

01:25and that for the good ones they were going to do,

01:27before they were going to do the power that they had there.

01:29So in this case, the United States always said that there could be

01:33an intervention that could help.

01:35And if, again, the time and the day came,

01:39it's what we have to do and what we have to celebrate,

01:41because they are helping us out of all this tyranny

01:45that many years have been suffering.
