00:00The beauty of being a black woman, I mean, that in and of itself is beautiful.
00:05Us being able to celebrate each other is really important and protect each other.
00:09I think it is now more than ever, we have to protect black women and we have to care for them and love them and appreciate them
00:16and make sure that they are valued and seen in more ways than one.
00:30Well, I first met Law when I was like 14 and we've been rocking with each other ever since.
00:37So in many ways, we've grown together fashion-wise.
00:41I mean, he's taught me so much about fashion history, which I think speaks through a lot of our references,
00:46not just for photo shoots like this one, obviously, which is inspired by Daniel Luna,
00:51but also through our red carpet looks.
00:55A lot of them like really do have a story behind them, you know,
00:58or a moment in time or in history that we're trying to recreate.
01:02Or even if it's, you know, like with Tommy, what we were able to kind of do with that,
01:10displaying not just the beauty and the fun of the 70s, but the beauty of black women,
01:20which was a celebration of that and Battle of Versailles and all that stuff.
01:24That was really, really fun.
01:25And I think we just are always on the same page.
01:28And even when we're not, creatively, when you find like a creative soulmate in that kind of way,
01:34you're able to recognize each other's strengths and fill in where the other person lacks.
01:40So he knows the things I'm good at.
01:41I know the things he's good at.
01:42And we hold each other accountable and we go back and forth.
01:45And I'm like, I like this, he like that.
01:46Okay, why don't you like this?
01:47And we ask each other questions and we always figure it out.
01:51But it's really special having, you know, a partner like that,
01:55really having a team like that.
01:56Someone who, you know, has your back in more ways than one.
01:59You know, we are a family for sure.
02:01So there's an obvious disregard for the black woman specifically in this country
02:19to all the beautiful black women out there.
02:21We have to continue to be fearless and do what we do unapologetically
02:27and continue to lift each other up and love on each other because that's what we need.
02:32Um, and I'm so inspired by, um, all the incredible black women in my field creatively
02:40who are, who have taken over this industry and created beautiful work,
02:45um, continue to, um, showcase storytelling in, in, in, in many different ways
02:52and, and inspire me to, you know, take my shit to the next level.
02:56Black women are beautiful, man.
02:58That's all I have to say.
02:59You know, we did that.
03:02Yeah.
