00:05I used to try to do the finger waves like Jada had in the movie.

00:21When I was in the Girl Group 3W, I wore my hair kind of in a short pixie cut with lips.
00:26I used to wear a little bit of red in my hair.
00:29I used a Senegalese twist or braids.
00:30I had a long weave, you know, with some highlights.
00:37I mean, my hair was like on fire because I was there to get a touch up.
00:42I was getting a perm, but they washed my hair and then I guess it wasn't straight enough
00:48and then put it back on and tried to re-go over some areas, but my hair was still wet.
00:55And I remember having scabs in my scalp.
00:57Ooh, that was like crazy.
00:58I remember just being like, I won't be coming back to this salon.
01:05This past year at the BET Awards, I loved wearing a bang and it was messy.
01:12It was effortless.
01:13You know, the bangs came like straight across, but it was like very natural.
01:18And I thought that that hairstyle was probably one of my favorites because I felt flirty.
01:23It felt sexy.
01:24It was fun.
01:25And men love my real hair.
01:28I think guys don't really care as much as we do.
01:32Women put a lot more pressure on ourselves.
01:33The industry is definitely becoming more open to seeing women with locks, you know, women
01:41with braids, women with twists, women, you know, with their natural hair.
01:45And I think that that's one of the things that I love about where we're headed in Hollywood.
01:51And I hope that we continue to embrace the beauty because it doesn't have to come in one
01:56shape or one form or one hair do.

02:23And there are only minimal, the distractions that come back to us together on the journey.
