00:00Ready to officially call your significant other your roommate?
00:03Here are some conversations we suggest having with your partner before making the big move.
00:07From food, bills and basic apartment needs, there are a lot of costs associated with having your
00:12own place. Be mindful of each other's spending habits, credit scores and current jobs. Figuring
00:17out who is in charge of what bill is also important. In the words of TLC, you don't want no scrub.
00:22Therefore, you should not have to pay for everything. Just like every other roommate
00:26you have ever had, creating a cleaning plan is key. You might be a better laundry folder while
00:31your partner may prefer to wash the dishes. Make sure to divide your chores evenly. No one enjoys
00:36cleaning all the time. Well, unless you're a Roomba. Even though it might be awkward, you need to make
00:41sure you have an answer as to why you are moving in with each other. Are you two just cutting costs,
00:45or are you building a life together? Lastly, look at each other's schedules. Is one of you a night owl
00:50and the other an early bird? Do you prefer entertaining friends at home while your partner
00:54wants peace and quiet? Asking your partner these questions will give you a set of
00:58expectations for the future. You're writing a new adventure together. Why not have it make sense
