00:00The Quad is about a fictitious HBCU called Georgia A&M, GAMU, and it takes place in Atlanta.
00:13So, you know, it has flavors of FAMU, Morehouse-Bellman, you know, sort of represents all HBCUs in one.
00:23So now we enter, you know, 2017, what does college life look like on a black college campus?
00:32It has a lot of drama, a lot of political issues, little stewing resentments that are brewing because we have our first female president.
00:42She's coming in, Anika Nani Rose, as our new president.
00:46And, you know, there are a lot of clashes. There are a lot of political clashes on campus.
00:51The world of academia can be a little ruthless and tricky and not wanting to change.
00:59My character is a—I teach history. I'm dean of sociology at the school.
01:06And I'm really supporting our new president.
01:11I wanted a woman. I wanted this woman.
01:14And so I'm kind of, you know, her—her Joe Biden. You know, I'm backing her and holding her up.
01:21And I love that relationship.
01:23So you think, because I grew up in a wealthy family, attended Ivy League schools, and married well, that I'm not down, not black.
01:31My ability to survive and my intellect are both very black, Mr. Diamond.
01:36My point is simple. I don't answer to you. And I never will.
01:44My point is simple as well. You do as I asked you. Or I will not hesitate to put my foot directly in your ass.

02:01Yeah.
02:02I don't know, you know, if you really want any other than it's amazing.
