00:00People have this perception of the auto industry that it's a very old traditional organization,
00:05but really 20 years ago there were leaders encouraging women to take exciting positions,
00:10and that's why I've never felt, you know, that there was a glass ceiling.
00:17My father had almost a 40-year career at General Motors. He was a dye maker,
00:22and so he encouraged me to pursue my love of math.
00:24In someone's career, especially when you're starting off, it's this, you know, base of a tree,
00:30and there's so many different choices you can make, but especially early in your career,
00:34don't saw off whole parts of the tree because you never know what you're going to enjoy doing
00:39and what opportunities you may have.
00:43I think what happens sometimes is women put too much pressure on themselves,
00:47so what I try to encourage, especially young women, is don't step off, step over, because that's life.
00:54mejor que roadblocks are not a area.
00:58And it might be, but the fact that you're going to be chasing it.
01:00It's so beautiful that I used to see you there,
01:01just too hard and then you can make students so happy that you lack a lot of work and an energy with your andere people you can.
01:04When to get your perspective, you can react safely and you're going to be your department and let go out and yourpledures.
01:06I'm going to be sure that you didn't get the evidence varying from all that's happening in your今天,
01:11but we want to experience the importance of your career.
01:14I changed it all the design structure, as well-when I mentioned and objectives the opening panel,
01:16but I had Euhю Island the stage for you.
01:18I noticed that everything there didn't hold you interested in from dealing with imagery itself so well.
