00:00I love that the film sort of tackled and sort of shown a light on how important local politics is, right?
00:05Especially we're seeing that in November.
00:07I don't think your character is going to help people's confidence, but...
00:10I think you should persuade people to vote, though.
00:12Yes, yes, you should.
00:13If I showed up at your door and was like, hey, look, I'm from the 18th, well, you're voting, right?
00:16I think you would vote.
00:17I would definitely vote.
00:18I mean, just saying, don't think I'm above doing that, either.
00:21I would say that you would vote, too.
00:23And why is it important for people to come out in November and just really vote locally?
00:27This is a country ran and made by the people.
00:30You know what I mean?
00:30It's our home.
00:32It's our freedoms, our liberties.
00:33They're ours.
00:35And I think that we have to protect them.
00:37We have to.
00:38And, you know, just like Jamal Manning, he's like, I was raised here.
00:42I'm born here.
00:43I want the same liberties and things that he has that's sitting right next to me, that's five blocks away from me.
00:47Why can't we have that kind of equality?
00:49He may have acted in a completely different way.
00:52A little different.
00:53A little different.
00:54But you know what?
00:55I think it's just the time.
00:56You know, I think it's the time.
00:57And we had such great, we had a great past eight years with a great president from this city doing the things that he did, changing the world the way he changed it.
01:05And we need that again.
01:06There's no way we can go backwards.
01:08This is like, and I think that that's the testament about what this movie is about, too.
01:11I don't want to be a widow of this country.
01:13I don't want to sit there and feel like I lost the greatest love of my life, being the land that I was born on, because these liberties have been taken from me.
01:21No.
01:21I want to go and enact change and make it a better place for those who come after me.
01:26So, therefore, you get your ass up and you go and you check that ticket for the people that you know deserve to be there.
01:31And that's it.
01:32It's the right that you have.
01:33And we're going to make sure that Cynthia can vote, too.
01:36I don't care what, if they see the shining sea, you come here and you vote.
01:40That's the freedom of this country, and that's what we have to do.
01:43And that's what this movie is about, is taking your power back and making sure that you actually open the world up and enact change.
01:49So, vote, period.
01:50I love the way you put that.
01:51I love the way you put that.
