00:00I know that this is a thing that a lot of us in the room can relate to no matter what
00:07industry we're in, and that's that feeling or the reality of being the only in the room,
00:15right?
00:16The only woman, the only black person, the only queer person in a room, right?
00:20So I'm wondering, like, how do we remedy that?
00:24How do we create more pipelines into the industry for people in the audience, say, who might
00:29want to become the next you all?
00:32How do we create those pipelines?
00:34To start off, honestly, for me personally, I try to think about it from every aspect that
00:42I do my job.
00:43So a lot of times, I'm in a position where not only am I hiring talent celebrities down
00:48to the influencers, and a lot of times we have to take a step back.
00:53We were in a meeting, and they presented, like, here's a slew of talent that we're thinking
00:57of, you know, what are your thoughts.
00:59I was like, man, the shade seems a little bit the same, no?
01:03And they were like, shade?
01:04I was like, everyone looks the same.
01:07And sometimes just to bring it to their attention and actually have a voice and speak up and
01:10say something.
01:11So like a lot of times, we might even be in the role and we're not speaking up and saying
01:14anything because we don't want to be the odd person out or looked at.
01:18I go into the mindset where, like, I'm not coming here to be liked.
01:21I want to make a difference and to do what is right.
01:27I just want to give up.
01:32I want to give up to our story.
01:38I actually, know what I want to make.
01:51What can I do?
01:55That's all for me.
01:56.
02:26.
02:56.
03:26.
03:56.
04:26.
04:28.
04:30.
04:32.
04:34.
04:36.
04:38.
04:40.
04:42.
04:44.
04:46.
04:48.
04:50.
04:52.
