Elders Albury auctioneer Harry Cozens gives a roundup of the sale.
Transcript
00:00G'day all, it's Harry Cousins just reporting in here from the Wangaratta Blue Ribbon Wiener Sale
00:05for February. Just on a sort of five and a half thousand cattle yarded here today and which would
00:11be described as a very good yarding of cattle which all sold to pretty good competition. Better
00:16than expected. The best of your feeder steers are $4.70 to $5.00. A lot of wiener black steers are in
00:23a vicinity of $5.00 to $6.00 a kilo with a lot of them are probably $5.00 to $5.40. The best
00:29of your coloured Hereford steers made over $5.00 but there's a fair spread in those cents per
00:34kilo. A lot of your feeder heifers made $4.30 and your wiener heifers are $4.00 to $4.50.
00:41So considering the pretty difficult season that we're facing at the moment with lack of
00:47feed and very little water, it's certainly a satisfactory result. Thank you.
