00:24very much involved in like media and like TV magazines fashion everything so like it's very
00:32important to me to have like representation out there I want black girls to know that no matter
00:37your complexion or your hair or or your nose or your lips or anything like that that we matter
00:42we're beautiful are I'll give you some cocoa butter some shade butter honey we will work on this
00:46because you don't need anybody to tell you that you're not cute because honey you are cute be cute
00:52for me I want for black girls like in the words of my mom don't be afraid to use your outside voice
01:01that's how I feel like don't don't be like don't be afraid to be loud and people just say oh you're
01:08so assertive you're so mean yeah you're so mean you're so intimidating if you feel uncomfortable
01:16say no don't be afraid to say no because you're going to be the one to have to live with that
01:19for the rest of your life not express yourself because we grow up as black girls to suppress
01:23our feelings and we end up just being I don't want to say we're not angry but we're upset people say
01:28we're bitter we're not bitter we are upset if you don't like black people cool keep that over there
01:32if you don't like women cool keep that misandry over there misogynistic misandry whatever you want
01:37to call it just don't bring it by me I just want to live I just want to be alive and I want girls to
01:41just be alive just live your life honey to be free to be inhibited basically
