00:10here at Essence Fest oh my gosh I'm so happy to be here at Essence Fest this is my first year
00:13actually so I'm taking it all in now you're always so stylish you are looking fly tonight
00:18so tell me do you have a style crush is there anybody's closet you'd love to raid
00:23do I have a style crush oh I you know there are a lot of people's styles that I really really
00:28admire um you know a lot of times old school especially like in my vibes these days aside
00:34from my stage wear and my personal life I really love like styles like when on a rider or like
00:39Demi Moore thinking back in the 90s the jam you know what I mean the little half tops turtlenecks
00:44you know mom jeans very simple uh converse you know I like to always keep a very simple style
00:49especially when I'm when I'm when I'm wearing my hair short you know I like to let the hair be the
00:53funk and everything else kind of be underplayed okay okay okay now um you know here at Essence
00:59we're all about celebrating black women uplifting them and empowering them so what is the thing that
01:05you love most about being a young black woman what I love most about being a young black woman is the
01:09perspective that I get to see the world through you know I don't know you know not to say that
01:12anybody else doesn't have anything important or interesting to say but I know what it is to be
01:17an african-american woman and to me that is so special and uh just everything it comes with you know
01:21what I mean seeing the world through different eyes and what I've experienced because of being
01:25african-american woman positive or negative I just like all that that it's made me to be today that's
01:30awesome
