00:00you know we're taught to get our mammograms we're taught to get our doctors and have our regular
00:06annual visits how do you well you know I think the most important thing to do is to always listen
00:13to your body you know I realized that I had an issue when my makeup artist discovered that might
00:19the whites of my eyes look discolored so if there's anything that you feel like you know if
00:24your skin looks different anything on your body that just feels or looks differently it never hurts
00:29to just go to a doctor because I think so many times we're like oh don't worry about it you know
00:34I'll get some extra sleep working hard yeah I'll take some extra vitamins but you know it can never
00:38hurt to just talk to your doctor and that's what I did and how's treatment been going for you where
00:44are you now in your um fortunately I'm done with treatment I'm done with chemotherapy I'm done with
00:49radiation I think I still they may show a little bit more of me doing that on the show but you know
00:55it's a journey like but I celebrate every day um I'm not really waiting to celebrate at the end
01:01right they're like you know no more cancer I have to celebrate every day because you know me Dana like
01:06we love life we celebrate life you always have this high energy this big spirit yeah yeah and and I do love
01:12life and now I've even taught you know learned that life really is a blessing and today I'm breathing so I
01:18have to celebrate and just thank God for giving me another chance no I totally understand that so
01:24since your diagnosis and your treatment how has your lifestyle changed have you oh do you eat
01:28differently do you work out more or how um I think my lifestyle has changed mentally and spiritually you
01:37know it's always had strong faith I love God but now like it's like we're really in a relationship now
01:43like I love Jesus before but now we are like really really BFFs um I always ate really healthy so I
01:50think for me it was just important to continue that but not to drive myself crazy because I think it can
01:56be overwhelming you hear don't eat this you know that'll give you cancer don't have that and it's
02:00like sometimes that can stress you out and stress is so not good for the body right so now I've just
02:05really taken on meditation and that has been I think the biggest change where I'm like I am stressed give me
02:13my meditation my breath coach Kathleen and some lavender oil so like those kind of changes have
02:18really helped me and I've tried to sort of remove some toxins so like I love beauty products but I'm
02:24starting to make more beauty products just to help myself you know I'm making like shea butters I was
02:28on dr. Oz talking about how to make a shea butter with all organic products so little changes that can be
02:33exciting but also just not overwhelming right and make a big difference in the long run yeah definitely and
02:39now too right you know I want I'm really about celebrating the now and being in the moment I
02:43think that's so important to do I think we worry so much about what happened before or some of us
02:47fret yeah constantly about what happened in the past things that we can't change or what's going to
02:52happen what's going to happen yeah and sometimes we build it up to be worse than what's you know
02:55yeah celebrate now celebrate your life now and celebrate the fact that you can share who you
03:00are give a smile give a hug send a sweet text and just encourage a friend I still have that text you sent me over a
03:06year ago by the way gosh you're so sweet I'm just saying
