00:00in lieu of the strike we were definitely like thirsting for different things to watch there
00:04weren't a whole lot of movies coming out no new tv shows we were all kind of sitting already waiting
00:10for something new to come out so i think during that time we really kind of filled that gap with
00:15podcasts so what were some of the podcasts that you enjoyed watching so for me i'm actually more
00:21of a podcast fan than music when it comes to like you know when i'm working out yeah like when i
00:26work out you know i like to listen to podcasts because it really engages me and everything i
00:30kind of get lost in the podcast and retain the focus you know what i'm doing in the gym but um
00:35of course for me the scotty and sylvia show um that was a amazing treat for me too and i felt like it
00:43was something that we all needed too because uh you know we all love scotty for her takes and her
00:47cultural techniques and everything um you know sylvia she's an essence og she was the right for
00:52us back in the day um and she's just a well-respected journalist too um and they met at essence fest
00:58too a couple years back too so when i got the press release for it i just was um yeah super super
01:03excited and then um you know with isa ray uh helming this too i just think that um she was able
01:10to recognize the void that was left with their show and had previously and brought in this new and
01:15improved version i think 85 south is also by far one of the best podcasts out right now too um i think
01:22beyond the laughs that i personally get from watching it there's kind of this air to 85 south
01:28that kind of makes you feel like you're listening in on a conversation with your uncles or your older
01:33cousins you know um and i also think you know them being able to take the show on tour is a testament
01:39to how entertaining they are
