00:00Black love, it's unique, it's special, it's life-giving, it's confidence-inducing, it's, I mean, it's everything to me.
00:12There's nothing like it.
00:14I'm terrible at first dates.
00:16I just don't know whether to be vulnerable, aloof, funny.
00:20Don't you just be yourself.
00:22You know, when people throw out black love, it's always just the romantic part of it, but it's really family.
00:27Especially in this movie, it's just like black people looking comfortable, not angry.
00:32You know, it's just, it's a beautiful, I think that's what black love is so, so much bigger than just two people.
00:39We love to see it, I love to see that on screen.
00:42When I see it, I connect to it, I understand it, like, it's a beautiful thing.
00:46Look at him, baby, he's in love.
00:48I never said that, alright?
00:50It's written all over your face. You look so sappy, it's embarrassing.
00:53This film felt very different for me.
00:56Like, I felt like the stakes were much higher because I felt like we don't get to see these kind of films in the marketplace.
01:03So to have kind of a big love story with black people, it's so important that this movie worked and that people go see it so that we can have more.
01:13People are going to hopefully use this as an example for their films moving forward and just build upon their own interpretations of black love.
01:21And that's what I'm excited to see.
01:24I think the film is important. It is reflecting a lot of our relationships with our parents and how the decisions that they make are going to affect us in our partnerships as adults.
01:34Yeah, I think that's what attracted me to the project as well, is just your writing. And the multi-generational element was also very exciting.
01:43I hadn't realized until very late how much my parents' decisions and my parents' marriage also affected my own relationships.
01:53My mother wasn't very good at love. What if I'm just like her?
01:57It's just so romantic to see it on the big screen and then, you know, to see your face fill up that big of a screen and so beautiful.
02:06Okay.
02:07Yes.
02:09No.
02:10No.
02:11Right.
02:12I was always back there.
02:14That's right.
02:16You created an experience, which is why I think people should go see it.
02:20You know, between the music and the images and just the story, you want to experience that in the theater first.
02:25Yeah. In your seat.
02:26Yeah.
02:27Hearing the Louisiana winds.
02:28Yeah.
02:29You know, slide by you.
02:30Yeah.
02:31Let it seep through you.
02:32When I saw those movies like The Love Jones and Love & Basketball, I remember exactly how I felt, what I did afterwards.
02:38Like, I just remember how those things inspired me and I hope this film does the same thing to our audiences.
02:46Yeah, you can do that little, the kiss in the movie, you know?
02:49Yeah.
02:50When the time is right, you know?
02:51Yeah.
02:52Little, little, little yawn.
02:53Yeah.
02:54Reach around.
02:55Yeah.
02:56Little hair, you know.
02:57It's Valentine's Day.
02:58Little brush up against the thigh.
02:59What?
03:00I wonder if it's not too early in the night to kiss you.
03:05It wasn't too early.
03:10Cause I'll count down.
03:11Oh.
03:12I see.
03:13Don't lose.
03:14So...
03:15Your time isn't ok.
03:16This is a world of
