00:00Hi I'm Corinne Corbett Essence Beauty Director and welcome to another edition of Beauty All
00:04Access where I'm going to talk to makeup educator Vanessa Evelyn about creating a great makeup
00:10look in just five minutes. So ladies we never have enough time in the day to do everything
00:19we need to do. Especially when it comes to our makeup. So I'm here today with Vanessa
00:23Evelyn a makeup educator who's going to show us how to do makeup in five minutes on a model
00:29here's Shekinah. I'm going to step out of the way and let Vanessa get to work.
00:53So ladies we're back with makeup educator Vanessa Evelyn and Almada Shekinah looking glorious
00:59and glowing in a natural look that Vanessa did in just five minutes. Tell us Vanessa what
01:05did you do? Well we started with the foundation to powder using the Milani warm toffee and it's
01:14very simple because it's just one application you don't have to go through the stages of
01:18powder and makeup because it's all in one. So on cream to powder do we need what kind of
01:23applicator do we need? Do we use our fingers? Do we use a sponge? What's best? In this case
01:27because we've got a powder combination you would have to use a sponge in order to apply
01:34it and get an even finish. Okay. Okay. So let's talk about the eyes. Vanessa what did you do?
01:39Her eyes are glowing. Well I love this look. What I did I kissed the eye with a warm shimmery shadow and
01:47you can find some really great pigments in the shadows at Black Opal. Here we used this golden color
01:55concealer and we blended it into the cheek. And the reason why I did this is because we've got five
02:02minutes and we've got a rush. We don't have time to do the concealer. So this sort of acts as a highlight
02:09which takes away the attention from any dark discoloration we may have under the eyes. And what I love
02:16about it is that it looks very natural but it's very modern. You know we talk about the J.Lo glow.
02:21We get two in one. We get the eye shadow and the cheeks lifted. Talk to me about the blush placement.
02:27Well I mean many we always hear makeup artists saying you know make that cheek and you place the cheek there.
02:34I tend to like lifting the cheek. So I take it from above the lip line and I lift the cheek with the color.
02:43And pretty much you have what I call a baby's bottom. And I think it's really lovely.
02:49Then let's talk about the lashes. Her lashes are full but they don't look overly done.
02:54So we know mascara to go on this way and it tends to get very clumpy and messy.
03:01What I like to do is just take the wand and I go like that this way. Like a window swiper.
03:08Yes. And it just really separates each lashes. You're going back and forth. And then look at the camera.
03:17And there we have full lashes. There's no extensions. There's no additions. It's just the mascara and her lashes.
03:23Finally let's talk about the lips. Well the lips we used a soft color. We didn't want anything overbearing.
03:31We kept it very simple. And what I like about this color is we had chosen to.
03:35We could have used this as a stain and we also could have used it on the cheek to give a wet cheek.
03:42So you have the combinations again. So really ladies if you would find products that you can use two in one.
03:49It really helps to excel. You know the process.
03:54So ladies in just five minutes Vanessa was able to give Shekinah a great office ready look with just four products.
04:01A creamed powder foundation. A shimmery powder that you can use as a shadow and a highlighter.
04:07A blush and lipstick. You can do the same.
04:10Thank you so much Vanessa for being here. Thank you for having me.
04:13Thank you Shekinah. Thank you. And she looks quite lovely I think.
04:18I mean you look rather rosy actually. Thank you.
04:21Yes. And thank you ladies for joining us for Beauty All Access and we'll see you next time.
04:25We'll see you next time.
