00:05And now you're on this week. Just for the people that are watching, they have their own businesses.
00:10Tell them a little bit about what that process was like.
00:14Well, it was a very fast process, but I'll take it. I'll just take you back to the to the journey has been.
00:20I'll take you a year ago from today. I was actually working in corporate America before I decided to do VN full time.
00:28I was a marketing director for a company here in New Orleans. I got fired.
00:32I don't really know what I was going to do. I had this always. It's always been a side project, you know, a little money here and there.
00:39But once I got fired, it was really. All right. What do you go do?
00:42And I knew I had a product and I had to form a mission statement.
00:46And the mission statement was I want to help every black man become the best version of himself.
00:51I love that. And this product can do so because it starts looking in the mirror.
00:56So I got fired. When you get fired, it went kind of how you expect it.
01:01It was very rocky. And that wasn't the bottom point.
01:05The bottom point was I woke up a year ago to this day and my car was gone.
01:11It got repossessed. I had fallen behind on the payments. I didn't have a job.
01:16I was putting everything that I made back into this business.
01:19And if you know me, that car was my pride and joy. That was my thing.
01:23So I woke up. I called my mom. I said, Mom, these people took my car.
01:29And that was it. For three weeks, I walked a mile and a half to the post office, dropping off packaging to make sure my product got out.
01:39Because I knew I knew it was going to blow. It took me three weeks to get the money to get my car back.
01:45I ain't look back since. And I never will look back.
01:48So if you're on your mission right now, don't stop.
01:52Put it in your heart. Put the work in and you will get out of what you put into it.
01:58I want to thank my parents for always believing in me.
02:01I want to thank my co-founder for always believing in me.
02:05I want to thank my friends for always supporting me.
02:07I want to thank anybody that's ever reached out, showing support, whether it was positive or negative.

02:14I learned from that. We're on our way to becoming a staple product.
02:18And I truly believe that. And I'm grateful.
