Palestinian medical evacuees, including war-wounded and patients, and their accompanying relatives are leaving Gaza through the Rafah crossing for treatment abroad.

Israel reopened the border between Gaza and Egypt on Feb 2 for a limited number of people on foot, allowing a small number of Palestinians to leave the enclave and some of those who escaped the war to return for the first time – under the 20-point Gaza peace plan after the end of the two-year war between Israel and Hamas.
