00:00The problem with AI to me is two things. One is when you're taking people's images or voices,
00:07I think there needs to be a permission in place and I think there needs to be a compensation in
00:11place. It's kind of like when sampling was kind of the wild, wild west, you didn't even have to
00:15acknowledge who originally wrote the song or originally produced the song. And of course,
00:20that all changed after a while. The same thing hopefully happens with AI where there is some
00:25sort of guardrails, but I think it's an amazing tool. I don't think it replaces humans simply
00:30because humans make mistakes. And a lot of our records that people really love, there's a lot
00:36of mistakes on those records. And if you went in and cleaned up all those mistakes, they wouldn't
00:40be the records they are. That's part of the beauty of music, those little flubs. They may not sound
00:44like flubs to you, but the musician that's playing it might go, oh, I messed up on that part. But
00:48that's the kind of thing that we respond to. And I'm not sure whether AI necessarily does that in
00:52the best way. Backstage Pass, hosted by Gentry Thomas, downloaded wherever you get your podcasts.
