00:00Democratic voters are hungry for new voices in the Democratic Party.
00:04We've got portions of the Democratic Party that are also in bed with big corporations and not fighting for the people.
00:10They are hungry for somebody who's going to speak to their actual experiences.
00:14We have dozens of members of Congress who've been in Congress for decade after decade after decade.
00:19And I think our Democratic Party is weaker, not stronger, because of that.
00:22We do not have an economy that's working for everyday people. Everybody knows that.
00:26We have a rigged economy that works great for billionaires and cheating corporations, but not the Mississippians.
00:32I'm not waiting for permission because our communities are under attack,
00:36and we need leaders in this moment that understand the day-to-day struggles of our working families.
00:41I'm running a campaign on no corporate money that their members are fighting for them instead of fighting for corporate donations.
00:49Our campaign is completely grassroots. Folks who have never donated to a campaign,
00:54people who are energized and excited about our vision.
00:57No question that what happened with President Biden had a huge impact on my decision to run.
01:02You know, we would not be in this crisis. We would not have Donald Trump as president
01:06if President Biden had seen passing the torch as an important part of leadership.
01:11But it's not just about President Biden.
01:13I think what you saw was a Democratic Party as a whole that was too reluctant to look itself in the mirror
01:19and recognize that change was necessary.
