00:30Good evening. January is just about over and as gyms go back to normal and diets grind to a halt.
00:39But what a month it has been in the Scottish Premiership.
00:43Four full-fat games coming up with Michael Stewart giving as usual low-key opinions.
00:49We start with Levy against Motherwell and having conceded six goals last weekend,
00:53David Martindale's side won't be looking forward to facing the Premiership's in-form striker Tawanda Masmanisi.
01:00Super control, super finish.
01:11Tawanda Masmanisi on the score sheet again.
01:16It's Tawanda Masmanisi again.
01:20It's another terrific finish.
01:25Tawanda Masmanisi becoming a bit of a cult hero at Fun Park.
01:30Another Motherwell game for Tawanda Masmanisi, but are his days in claret and amber numbered.
01:39He's in fine form, interest in him is high.
01:42Can he help Motherwell to a win in West Lothian today?
01:46David Martindale makes three changes from the side that were gubbed by Aberdeen last week.
01:50Babacar Fatih and Emmanuel Danso make full debuts.
01:53Scott Pittman is the other change in midfield.
01:55Motherwell changed just one.
01:59They beat Kilmarnock 4-0 last weekend, so no surprise really.
02:02Johnny Katrumbis comes in for Emmanuel Longolo.
02:05Sam Nicholson into the squad for the first time in 11 months.
02:12Livingston have a dreadful record against Motherwell.
02:14They've lost their last five in a row.
02:16They're looking to make a fast start here.
02:19Here's Stevie May into Scott Pittman.
02:21He gets the flick on to Conor McLennan.
02:24Oh, it's gone wide.
02:26In fact, it's a save from Callum Ward.
02:29A huge opportunity for Livingston to hit the front early on.
02:33It was great work from Stevie May.
02:36Pittman picking out McLennan with the flick on.
02:38That had to be 1-0, but somehow Callum Ward has just tipped that wide.
02:48An early scare for Motherwell.
02:50They don't go behind or concede too often.
02:54They're coming forward now.
02:56Saeed.
02:58It's a Tom Sparrow.
02:59Just with the ball in towards Maswinise.
03:04And his header loops over Jerome Prior.
03:07And Motherwell hit the front against Livingston.
03:13They were so nearly behind.
03:15But it's that man, Tawanda Maswinise, who puts them in front.
03:20His fine form continues.
03:23That's now five goals in his past five games.
03:26It's 17 for the season in all competitions.
03:31And there will be plenty of admirers who are watching that.
03:36The goalkeeper making it a little easier for him in no man's land.
03:40Really, Jerome Prior.
03:42And Maswinise just loops his header over the keeper.
03:47A delicate finish in the end that puts Motherwell 1-0 up.
03:51Just with the corner.
03:58Towards Paul McGinn.
03:59Oh, it's Stevie May who chests it off the line.
04:03Almost a second for Motherwell.
04:072-0 in the opening ten minutes.
04:08Would have been a real mountain for Livingston to come back from.
04:12They've got Stevie May to thank.
04:13Just to Katrumbis.
04:22Slattery plays the 1-2 with Maswinise.
04:24Gets it back and hits it with Venom.
04:27And Jerome Prior keeps it out.
04:30Livingston on the ropes now.
04:33Motherwell dominating the early stages.
04:36He'll be happy with what he's seen so far from his side.
04:45Corner to the back post.
04:46This time it comes all the way through.
04:48And it was Tawanda Maswinise again.
04:50This time it's blocked over the bar.
04:54Motherwell's pressure.
04:55Just relentless at the moment.
04:58They're in such fine form.
04:59It should be no surprise.
05:03Elijah Just coming over to take the corner.
05:05Looking to pile the misery on Livingston.
05:14Whip towards McGinn again.
05:16There he is.
05:17And it's Jerome Prior with the save again.
05:20I think there's a free kick in the midst of all that.
05:22Prior wasn't to know.
05:24Flying across his line like Superman.
05:27To palm that one away.
05:30For the second time in this match.
05:31Paul McGinn going close.
05:33Priestman chips forward to Elijah Just.
05:38Where's the Livingston defence?
05:40Just could be clear through here.
05:42Oh, he hits the post.
05:45Elijah Just so close to a second for Motherwell.
05:48He just hairs away.
05:52And no one is tracking him.
05:55He thinks about squaring it.
05:56Maybe he should have.
06:02Danzo forward to Muirhead.
06:05Cut out comfortably by Stephen O'Donnell.
06:07And here he is just on the turn.
06:10He gets the head up looking for Maswanise.
06:12It might still come to the striker.
06:13Here he is.
06:142-0.
06:17Maswanise at the double.
06:21Now the league's top scorer.
06:23No wonder there are so many clubs sniffing around him.
06:29Just look at the composure.
06:31Look at the confidence.
06:33As he tucks that away.
06:35Jerome Priart left with no chance.
06:37It is so clinical from the Motherwell striker.
06:47That's been one of the best halves of Motherwell's season.
06:52And they're looking to make it even better.
06:54Tom Sparrow.
06:56Pulling it back from Maswanise who's now pulling the strings.
06:59And he'll get it back from Saeed.
07:01Big chance for the hat trick.
07:03Straight at the goalkeeper.
07:05He's never scored a hat trick for Motherwell.
07:08And he might just do so today.
07:11He's had plenty of chances.
07:20McGowan under pressure.
07:22Able to get it up to Joshua Brené.
07:25There's a chance on the left-hand side for Livingston here.
07:28The ball into the middle.
07:30Too far ahead of Scott Pittman.
07:33Decent chance though for Livingston.
07:35They've looked dead and buried for long periods of this game.
07:41But that was a real opportunity to give themselves a lifeline.
07:46Connor McLennan with the ball in.
07:48Too far ahead of Scott Pittman.
07:56Livingston's dreadful record looks set to continue.
07:58Oh, the press might work there for Robbie Muirhead.
08:03Almost catching out Callum Ward as Motherwell will try to play it out from the back.
08:08Just got it caught under his feet for a second.
08:10And Faddinger forward.
08:19That's a lovely turn and a somewhat decent effort from Sam Nicholson on his return from injury.
08:2711 months out with a patella tendon injury.
08:32Back in the squad for the first time and on the pitch as well.
08:36That one always going too high.
08:39To Andem, as we need to say, will be replaced.
08:41He won't get the match ball tonight.
08:43As the Motherwell fans applaud him off.
08:45He ends Bertolascoe will be happy with his striker.
08:53Dinked forward by Callum Ward.
08:55Up towards Stephen O'Donnell.
08:57Trying to pick out a man in the middle.
09:02Livingston this time beating the press.
09:06This will be their 22nd game without a victory.
09:11Only Hamilton Ackies have done that this century.
09:14It's not a record.
09:18They wanted to equal.
09:20But that's exactly what's happened.
09:21Although today really should be all about Motherwell.
09:24They are just two points behind Celtic now.
09:27And we're in late January.
09:29It should also be about that man.
09:31To Andem, as we need to say, how long does he have left in Motherwell colors?
09:34It finishes Livingston 0, Motherwell 2.
09:37They are a hard team to play against because they are good on the ball.
09:44And they are hard to press.
09:46They are good in a build-up play.
09:48And they are so ultimate in what they do.
09:51Also defensively, man-man against us.
09:53So you either look like the level is all the way up or it's all the way down.
09:59And there were some really, really good moments in the first half from us.
10:02And we could have maybe scored another goal or two.
10:06It would look dangerous in set plays as well.
10:07Two really good goals for Maswanisi.
10:09Will he still be a Motherwell player on Tuesday morning?
10:11I'm not offering him to anyone.
10:14What's important is that we have a plan that he's here.
10:17We're going to stick to that plan because he's adding value to the team.
10:22And his performances and the team's performances is adding value to him.
10:26Which will benefit him when he will move on eventually.
10:29And it will benefit the club.
10:31And until then, we are building a very, very strong team around his qualities.
10:35Making sure we service him enough.
10:38And then it's up to him to keep doing what he's doing.
10:40We have a great chance to go 1-0 up.
10:43I think it's the best chance of the game.
10:45We're not clean enough.
10:46We don't execute it.
10:48They come back not long after that.
10:51And they score a goal that you should never, ever score.
10:54Defensively, it's, again, shambolic for us.
10:58And I think we just lose a wee bit of any control we had in the game.
11:02Second half was better.
11:03But we're in big trouble the way we're defending.
11:07That's me being honest.
11:10Predictably Motherwell brilliant again, Mikey.
11:12Unsurprisingly, Livy still waiting for that first win of the season.
11:16But it could have been so different.
11:18And there was opening minutes, as David Markdale said, if Connor McLennan had scored this good chance.
11:22Yeah, I mean, there's no question that obviously it was a huge chance for Connor McLennan to put Livingston in front.
11:29But the way Motherwell are at the moment, I don't know whether that's the sort of thing that would derail them.
11:34But certainly, from Livy's perspective, they need to score these chances because, you know, there's no wins in 22 games.
11:43They won the second game of the season against Falkirk and that is their only league win of the season so far.
11:47It's a decent enough save, you've got to say.
11:49Yeah, I mean, Ward gets out quickly.
11:52Just, I think, there.
11:53That's a good angle there.
11:54Can you lift it a wee bit cured?
11:55Absolutely.
11:55I think Connor McLennan just needs to dink it rather than try to strike through it.
11:59And then perhaps he would have got the goal.
12:01And it would have been a perfect start for Livy.
12:03But having said all that, Motherwell are that good at the moment.
12:06I'm not sure that that would have derailed them anyway.
12:08Because their first half performance was exceptional.
12:10Yeah, it was.
12:11We'll look at that in a moment.
12:12Tawanda Masvinisi, he scored his 12th and 13th goals today.
12:16He is hot property.
12:18He absolutely is.
12:19And, I mean, look, a lot was made about Motherwell not having somebody at the top end of the park that could find the back of the net regularly.
12:27And it turns out they've had them in the building already.
12:29So they've slightly changed that front line and now Masvinisi playing a lot more centrally.
12:34Brené, terrible defending.
12:36I mean, Masvinisi, it's a good run.
12:38You know, he starts behind the defender, runs across the face of him and then ends up behind him.
12:42But we highlighted there, when the ball's coming in, Livy have got so many bodies behind the ball.
12:47But as you heard David Martindale saying there, that the way that they're defending, they're in big trouble.
12:51And you can see why.
12:52Because this is just too easy.
12:55Defensively, bodies there, but they're not doing anything.
12:57Again, you can see Brené, the goalkeeper as well.
12:59And look how much time Eli just got on the ball there to turn, spin and pick out the pass.
13:03He's one player you've got to close down.
13:05There's another one.
13:06I mean, to be honest, I thought Motherwell as a whole were outstanding in the first half.
13:11They picked up brilliant areas.
13:14They were clinical.
13:15You can see Slattery's onto the loose ball.
13:18Perfectly weighted ball back into Masvinisi's path.
13:20And, yeah, a lovely finish.
13:23Like what we're talking about with Conor McLennan, in terms of just feeling it, lifting it into the corner there.
13:29Conor McLennan's was obviously a far easier opportunity.
13:31But this man that we've highlighted, Masvinisi, a lot of speculation.
13:35You know, our team's going to be making bids for him.
13:38I'd be very surprised if Motherwell let him go in January.
13:41And I think you can see by the way that he's playing, he is loving his football at the moment.
13:46And perhaps the summer would be the time that he moves on rather than January.
13:49Yeah, well, James Bertolaski pretty much saying there in his post-match interview that he'll be going nowhere.
13:54But money does talk.
13:56You'd imagine clubs will be very interested in him.
13:59Do you firmly believe that if a bid that comes in that's acceptable, I don't know what that might be, £5 million, would he still be staying at Motherwell?
14:08Well, I mean, I think if a bid of £5 million was coming in, then it really is a different kettle of fish.
14:12But when you're talking about anything sort of below that, then you look at what the opportunities of this season entail for Motherwell.
14:18I mean, they are right in the hunt of the teams that are now in front of them.
14:23And, you know, they're not conceding goals.
14:25They're not losing games.
14:27They're coming in a fine run of form.
14:29So I think that this is a season of the dreams, really, for Motherwell.
14:33And I think it would be foolish of them, unless there was an astronomical bid coming in, it would be very foolish of them to let Mas Winesi go.
14:40Yeah, I would agree with that.
14:41And it wasn't just Mas Winesi, as we've seen Motherwell are just so easy on the old eyeballs, aren't they?
14:46And it was, again, the case, especially in that first half today.
14:49Yeah, well, you know, I was talking before about the passing and the movement.
14:51You can see here there's constant movement off the ball.
14:54People offering support for the man on the ball.
14:57They picked Livingston apart.
14:59That's a great pass.
15:00I love that.
15:00And then look at that from Mas Winesi.
15:02Round the corner.
15:03But there's not, you know, he's not static.
15:05Looking to move as well.
15:06Saeed driving into the wider area.
15:07This was actually the same move.
15:09But just laterally, you know, they're getting him behind.
15:12Constantly causing problems of the opposition.
15:14This, I think, is a highlight of the problems that Livy have got defensively.
15:20But Motherwell exploited them, you know, brilliantly in the first half.
15:24Great passing and moving.
15:26And it's not just this game.
15:27You know, they've done it for a number of months.
15:29Where is Livy's win coming from?
15:32They've not won in approaching six months.
15:36I've no idea.
15:37I mean, I'll be perfectly honest.
15:37I don't see how or where a win is coming.
15:41You look at the last two performances against Aberdeen and Motherwell there.
15:45They were, I mean, beaten before the game really started a lot of the time.
15:51And those two in particular, they were very, very poor.
15:55OK.
15:56With Livy losing, come on, could they chance to stretch the gap on the bottom side
16:00if they beat visitors at Aberdeen?
16:02Kind of flurry of signings, Brighton Kilmarnock's gloomy season
16:08and crucially lift them further away from the bottom.
16:10That's the hope for Neil McCann.
16:12Aberdeen scored six in the league for the first time since 2017 last week.
16:17But their away records has been poor.
16:20The new attacking trio of Curtis, Klischenko and Hugel are on the bench
16:23for Kilmarnock having only just joined.
16:25Watson returns and Schoening, Larson and former Don Anderson also come in.
16:30Liam Morrison makes his Aberdeen debut in place of the suspended Jack Milne
16:34as the only change from the thrashing of Livingston.
16:40Neil McCann hoping for a first win as Kilmarnock manager.
16:44Kilmarnock spring into action, Mitov's come a long way
16:56and he's beaten to it by Tyrese John-Jules.
16:59Splashed across, Paul Werth.
17:03Kilmarnock should be in front.
17:06That's the type of chance.
17:07And you're down the bottom of the table.
17:11You simply have to take those with the right foot.
17:20Oh, a snappy start from Kilmarnock.
17:23Right on top of Aberdeen.
17:25And Larson drives inside.
17:29Gets the strike away and Mitov had to deal with it.
17:33Saw it late.
17:36Lutery meant to tip it up and over.
17:41Who knows, but it was effective.
17:46Set pieces.
17:48The vulnerability of Aberdeen's all season.
17:50In it comes.
17:52Mitov elects to punch.
17:54Thompson leaves it for Kilmarnock.
17:59And Lyons!
18:00And there is the opening goal.
18:04And it's a captain's goal from Brad Lyons.
18:08And it is no more than Kilmarnock deserve
18:11after their start to this match.
18:14Playing with renewed intensity and vigour.
18:17And Lyons adds the deft touch
18:21from Kilty's dangerous ball.
18:26And it is Kilmarnock 1-Aberdeen 0-0.
18:33No wins in eight at Rugby Park for Kilmarnock.
18:36Lost seven of those
18:37home fans
18:40not being treated so much this season.
18:42But Anderson
18:43makes it two in two minutes.
18:49Oh, it all looks different now
18:51for Kilmarnock and their fans.
18:53They're long-suffering supporters.
18:58Neil McCann and Billy Dodds
19:00have their boys up for this one.
19:03Neat layoff from John Jules.
19:05And the former Aberdeen player
19:07Bruce Anderson
19:08keeps his strike low.
19:11And it is 2-0
19:13after only 14 minutes.
19:16Peter Levin
19:17can't believe it.
19:22Aberdeen
19:23completely rattled
19:25as Lyle Cameron
19:27tries to spark something.
19:30Shinny
19:31Keskinen
19:33Armstrong
19:35Roos' save
19:36and Nisbet
19:37fluffs the rebound.
19:40Still alive.
19:42Cameron
19:42and that one was comfortable
19:45for Roos.
19:48Finally, Aberdeen burst into life.
19:52Nisbet
19:53never struck that
19:55with any conviction.
19:56Knooster.
20:04Knooster.
20:06Oh, and he's fallen
20:07really awkwardly there.
20:08The Dutchman
20:09leapt to try
20:12and head that ball.
20:14And this really
20:15looks pretty nasty.
20:18Long stoppage
20:20as Mats
20:21Knooster
20:21receives medical treatment
20:23and hopefully
20:24it is all just
20:26precautionary
20:27and he's fine
20:27as
20:29Sivert Hilton
20:29and Nielsen
20:30comes on
20:30to replace him
20:32in the Aberdeen
20:32backline.
20:36John Jewell's
20:36bundled over.
20:39Anderson
20:40makes life difficult
20:43for Devlin
20:43hits the
20:44AstroTurf
20:45and he's looking
20:45at the referee
20:46who gives the goal kick.
20:48Pretty confident
20:49in his decision.
20:51Lloyd Wilson.
20:51Anderson gets the
20:54head on the ball.
20:57There's not a great deal
20:58in it.
20:59Bruce Anderson
21:00thinks he was impeded
21:01though.
21:03VR is happy
21:04with the decision.
21:10It's given away.
21:11Chance blocked
21:12by Nielsen.
21:14Dear me,
21:14Aberdeen
21:15really not helping
21:17themselves in this game.
21:18But
21:18frame.
21:24That's nice.
21:26Curls the cross in.
21:27Thompson gets a touch.
21:28Nisbet
21:29Dees to the rescue
21:30and again.
21:32Stoic defending
21:34from the
21:35Kilmarnock centre
21:36back.
21:38Both those efforts
21:39look destined
21:39for the target.
21:47Shinny goes in
21:48on Kilty.
21:49Oh,
21:49and the Aberdeen
21:49captain could be
21:50in trouble here.
21:51He's already been
21:51booked for a start
21:52and the straight red
21:53card is issued
21:55by the referee.
21:56Shinny issued
21:57his marching orders.
21:59It has been
22:00that kind of
22:01afternoon for Aberdeen.
22:03Right on the thigh.
22:06The referee has been
22:06called across
22:07to have a second
22:08look at the
22:08straight red
22:09decision.
22:10He's happy
22:11with his
22:12original call
22:12and Shinny
22:13will walk
22:15anyway.
22:22Kilmarnock
22:23looking to pile
22:24on the pain
22:25and build
22:25their own
22:25confidence.
22:27Played wide
22:28by Anderson
22:29and it's pulled
22:30back and
22:30John Jules
22:31gets a strike away.
22:33And what a strike.
22:34Oh,
22:38it's party time
22:38at Rugby Park.
22:40It's been a long,
22:41long time
22:42since you could
22:42say that.
22:43Killy cruising
22:44to a big three
22:45points
22:46and a first win
22:47in 17
22:48in the Premiership.
22:50John Jules
22:50was initially
22:51ahead of the ball
22:51but he had so much
22:52time
22:53to amble
22:55across
22:55in front
22:57of the Aberdeen
22:57defence
22:58and it is
22:59a supremely
23:00confident
23:00finish.
23:07Aberdeen
23:08desperate
23:08for the
23:09whistle.
23:12Lyons
23:12fancies
23:13another.
23:14Mitov
23:14saves,
23:15Anderson
23:15into the
23:16side netting.
23:18I think he
23:18may have been
23:19offside anyway
23:19Bruce Anderson.
23:21Dimitar Mitov
23:22did just
23:23enough.
23:23miserable
23:28afternoon
23:29for Peter
23:29Levin.
23:30Lutz
23:31fan and
23:31steel
23:31on the
23:31bench
23:32playing like
23:33a team
23:34who
23:34urgently
23:35need a
23:35manager.
23:37Olazanya
23:37a half-time
23:39sub.
23:41Armstrong
23:41comfortable
23:44enough
23:45for
23:45Kelroos.
23:47Rear
23:4740 forward
23:48for
23:49Aberdeen.
23:53In comes
23:57the free
23:57kick.
23:57Dees!
24:00Well that's
24:00a bit of
24:01a sitter.
24:03Tumble in
24:04the box
24:04as well
24:05amidst
24:05all that
24:05but Robbie
24:06Dees
24:06should get
24:06an effort
24:07on goal
24:07there.
24:09Kelmarnock
24:09could be
24:09easily
24:10five or
24:11six up
24:12in this
24:12match.
24:17Brilliant
24:17afternoon
24:18for those
24:18two.
24:22Nielsen
24:23Kjartensen
24:24giving it
24:24away
24:25and now
24:25John
24:26Jewells
24:26on the
24:27rampage
24:28finds
24:28Hugo
24:29and
24:31Mitov
24:31denies
24:32the new
24:33signing
24:34a debut
24:34goal.
24:37So
24:38slack
24:38from
24:39Aberdeen
24:40yet again
24:40and
24:41really
24:41in the
24:42mood
24:42to
24:43pounce.
24:46Huge
24:47moment
24:47in
24:48Kelly's
24:48season
24:48a
24:49first
24:49win
24:50since
24:50the
24:514th
24:51of
24:51October
24:52their
24:53long
24:53wait
24:53is
24:54over
24:54they
24:55have
24:55a
24:55win
24:55and
24:56they've
24:56done
24:56it
24:57in
24:57style
24:57come on
24:58at
24:58three
24:59Aberdeen
25:00nil.
25:01The fans
25:02have waited
25:02a long
25:03time
25:03for this
25:03for me
25:05it's so
25:06important
25:06that the
25:07boys
25:07got a
25:07win
25:07today
25:07because
25:08as I
25:08said
25:09since
25:09I've
25:09come
25:09in
25:09with
25:10Billy
25:10and
25:11joined
25:11the
25:11club
25:12their
25:12attitude
25:13has
25:13been
25:13first
25:13class
25:14I
25:14could
25:14feel
25:14there
25:15was
25:15something
25:15coming
25:15I
25:16could
25:16feel
25:16the
25:16turn
25:16coming
25:17thought
25:17we were
25:18really
25:18unlucky
25:18last
25:19week
25:19but
25:19I
25:20just
25:20felt
25:20like
25:20today
25:21was
25:21a
25:21right
25:22good
25:22opportunity
25:22you
25:23mentioned
25:23about
25:23playing
25:24at
25:24home
25:24today
25:24could
25:25we
25:25get
25:25that
25:25elusive
25:26result
25:26and
25:26I'm
25:27so
25:27happy
25:27for
25:27everybody
25:28concerned
25:28with
25:28the
25:28club
25:28managed
25:29to do
25:29that
25:29and do
25:30it
25:30in style
25:30as well
25:30Peter
25:31first of all
25:31can I ask you
25:32about
25:32Max
25:32Knutzer
25:32have you
25:33got any
25:33update
25:34on him
25:34that
25:34looked
25:34a real
25:35nasty
25:36incident
25:36yeah
25:36he's
25:37awake
25:37and he's
25:38in hospital
25:38so we'll
25:38find out
25:39more
25:39tell us
25:41about the
25:41performance
25:42I'm guessing
25:43it's far
25:43below what
25:44you were
25:44looking for
25:45from your
25:45team
25:45today
25:45nowhere near
25:46good enough
25:46I thought
25:48they won
25:49first balls
25:50second balls
25:50they wanted
25:51it more
25:51yeah we just
25:54went up for
25:55the fight
25:55today and that's
25:55really disappointing
25:56because we said
25:57it all week
25:57it's a tough
25:58place to come
25:58you've got to
25:59first and foremost
26:00you've got to
26:00match it
26:01you've got to
26:01run
26:02you've got to
26:02fight
26:02second balls
26:03but we're
26:03nowhere near it
26:04today
26:04Kelly
26:06finally get
26:07their win
26:08and it was
26:08thoroughly
26:08deserved
26:09Mikey
26:09against a
26:10very erratic
26:11Aberdeen
26:12side
26:12yeah
26:13abject
26:14performance
26:14I think
26:15really from
26:15Aberdeen
26:16the highs of
26:17last week
26:17against
26:18Livy
26:18we've already
26:18spoken about
26:19them
26:19and perhaps
26:21it looks like
26:22it was against
26:22poor opposition
26:23now when you
26:24look at that
26:24Aberdeen
26:24performance
26:25because the
26:26comp against
26:27Kelly and
26:28I think
26:29Peter Leaven was
26:29absolutely spot on
26:30they were second
26:31best all over
26:31the park
26:32Kelly were very
26:33good and
26:33thoroughly
26:34deserving of that
26:35victory
26:35what did you
26:35notice most about
26:36them today
26:37that was maybe
26:38different from
26:39previously
26:39well I mean
26:40look I thought
26:41Neil was
26:41he was quite
26:43sort of
26:43pointed last
26:46week and I
26:46thought he was
26:47accurate there
26:47after the game
26:48today about how
26:49last week wasn't
26:50bad up until
26:51obviously the big
26:52moments in the game
26:52that went against
26:53them and I think
26:54it was important
26:55that obviously
26:55they backed it up
26:56today and they
26:57did big time
26:58so I think the
26:59positivity will start
27:00to grow off the
27:01back of that
27:01hunger desire
27:03and a good bit
27:04of quality at the
27:05top end of the
27:05park I thought
27:06John Jules and
27:07Bruce Anderson
27:08were a constant
27:09threat this
27:10afternoon
27:10they fought
27:11like they knew
27:12the position
27:13they are in
27:13in the league
27:14Brad Lyons and
27:15Bruce Anderson
27:16they gave
27:16Kelly as we
27:17mentioned a
27:18deserved lead
27:18and it really
27:18set the tone
27:20for them for the
27:21rest of the
27:21match
27:21they did
27:21I mean
27:22we had
27:23Liam Polworth
27:25with an opportunity
27:25very early on
27:26as well but
27:27they didn't let
27:27their heads go
27:28down
27:28it's a great
27:30ball in from
27:30Kilty and Brad
27:31Lyons gets the
27:32touch on it
27:32it's a deft touch
27:34just to flick it
27:35into the far
27:35corner
27:36ok Mitov perhaps
27:38could have came
27:39and caught the
27:39original one but
27:40he gets a big
27:40punch in it
27:41so the danger
27:43area has been
27:43cleared
27:44the defence have
27:45still got an
27:45opportunity to
27:46reset themselves
27:47but it comes
27:49back to that
27:50hunger and
27:50desire and
27:51Brad Lyons
27:51showed it there
27:52in spades to
27:53get on the
27:53end of it
27:54and you can
27:55see second
27:56balls winning
27:56everything onto
27:57the loose balls
27:58and then quick
27:59to counter there
27:59this is a
28:00lovely link up
28:01play between
28:01the two
28:02greatly off from
28:03John Jules
28:04and a brilliant
28:04strike from
28:05Bruce Anderson
28:07there's Greg
28:08Kilty as well
28:09had Bruce
28:10Anderson not
28:11had the shot
28:12there was
28:13acres of space
28:14there for Kilty
28:14which has been
28:16sorely lacking
28:17for Killy
28:17this season
28:18a lot was
28:19made about
28:19the system
28:20that was being
28:21deployed before
28:22no width
28:23they've recruited
28:24and brought in
28:24Friendly Curtis
28:25as well
28:25which I think
28:27will be a really
28:27good addition
28:28for them
28:28and the front
28:29players are
28:29looking dangerous
28:30so very much
28:32gone from a
28:33difficult position
28:34and it still
28:35very much is
28:35there's that
28:37glimmer of hope
28:37now for Killy
28:38it's a start
28:38isn't it
28:39Graeme Shinny
28:39sent off
28:40he was booked
28:41firstly
28:42and then he was
28:43given a straight
28:43red
28:44this one's harsh
28:45for me
28:45well it looks
28:46like a typical
28:47sort of clipping
28:48in the heels
28:48but we've looked
28:48at that
28:49and I'm not
28:50really sure
28:50there is much
28:51contact
28:51but even if
28:52you were to
28:53say okay
28:53it's a yellow
28:54card
28:54this one
28:55again
28:56you know
28:56understand
28:57referee
28:58they look at
28:58it in a
28:59heat at the
28:59moment
29:00and they think
29:00it's a
29:00bad one
29:02but it's not
29:03really
29:03you know
29:04Graeme Shinny
29:05doesn't see
29:05the Killy
29:06player coming
29:07on his blind
29:07side there
29:08he barely
29:09touches him
29:10I think it's
29:11Kilty again
29:11he touches
29:12his thigh
29:13no question
29:14about it
29:14no question
29:15it's never
29:16a straight
29:16red card
29:17and obviously
29:18the referee
29:18was asked
29:18to go over
29:19now some
29:20will say
29:20it's a
29:21second yellow
29:22because of
29:22where it was
29:23on his body
29:24do you think
29:24that's why
29:25the ref gave it
29:26even if you
29:28just take away
29:29it's not a
29:29straight red
29:30there's no
29:30force
29:31I think he
29:32almost tries
29:33to lift his
29:33foot straight
29:34off the thigh
29:34as soon as
29:35it's not
29:35endangering
29:36the opponent
29:36so you could
29:37make the case
29:38that it's a
29:38second yellow
29:38and he gets
29:39sent off anyway
29:39but then it
29:40falls into the
29:41category for me
29:41where the two
29:42yellows are
29:42they're slightly
29:45I think it would
29:46have been a
29:46second yellow
29:46it would have
29:47been
29:47the one thing
29:48I would say
29:49though about
29:49Graham Shinney
29:50and Aberdeen
29:51in particular
29:51here
29:52he is so
29:53important to the
29:54team
29:54but he's not
29:55the player he
29:55was
29:56and you can
29:56understand why
29:57Peter Leaven's
29:57playing him
29:58but the problem
29:58is
29:59and those two
29:59challenges I
30:00think sum it up
30:01everything's a
30:02little reactive
30:02for Graham Shinney
30:03now
30:03he needs greater
30:04help around them
30:05but they don't
30:06have that at Aberdeen
30:07they're in a bit
30:08of bother with
30:09regards to the
30:10balance of their
30:10squad
30:11yeah they are
30:12John Jules
30:13he wrapped up
30:15the win with an
30:15outstanding finish
30:16for the third
30:16absolutely
30:18brilliant
30:18again obviously
30:19Kelly are in
30:21the groove
30:22they're playing
30:22really well
30:23they're playing
30:23against ten men
30:24but you look at
30:26John Jules
30:26first to react
30:27you know
30:28Sivit Nielsen
30:29just a bit slow
30:30to turn
30:31not quick enough
30:32to react
30:32you look at
30:33John Jules
30:33he's there in the
30:34flash and that's
30:35a brilliant finish
30:36absolutely brilliant
30:37it'll do his
30:37confidence to
30:38the world of good
30:38as well
30:39he does things
30:39that I quite like
30:40yeah I would
30:41agree
30:41the limited
30:43appearances that
30:44he's had
30:44I would agree
30:45with you
30:45I think he's
30:46shown something
30:47obviously a new
30:49management team
30:49coming in
30:50it's up to them
30:50as it's been
30:51shown just to
30:52give them that
30:52little bit of
30:53belief and
30:53obviously that
30:54goal will do
30:54a world of good
30:55for him as well
30:55certainly well
30:56Kieran Bowie
30:57became the latest
30:58Scott to make
30:58the move to
30:59Italy completing a
31:00move to
31:01Hellas Verona
31:02yesterday one man
31:03already making
31:03his mark in
31:04Serie A is
31:05Lewis Ferguson
31:06who's been
31:06writing his own
31:07success story with
31:08Bologna
31:08we caught up with
31:09Lewis in the latest
31:10edition of Serie A
31:11Scots
31:12when you first
31:15came out here
31:15almost four years
31:17ago now
31:17how difficult a
31:19decision was that
31:20and how kind of
31:21nerve-wracking was it
31:22to come to a new
31:23country
31:24yeah it wasn't as
31:27much a difficult
31:28decision
31:28I think at the
31:30time I felt as
31:33though it was time
31:33to move on from
31:34Aberdeen
31:34had fantastic four
31:36years there
31:36loved my time at
31:38Aberdeen
31:39again great club
31:40great people but
31:41it was time for me
31:42to move on and
31:44kick on and I
31:45wanted to go and
31:46play at a higher
31:46level it's good
31:49here it's a good
31:49city to live in
31:51with a family
31:51a young family so
31:53they're comfortable
31:54here and that's the
31:56most important thing
31:57for me as long as
31:58my two little girls
32:00are happy then I'm
32:01happy
32:01and you can catch
32:04that on iPlayer
32:05now St Mirren could
32:06go level on points
32:07with Dundee with a
32:08win today in
32:09Paisley
32:10St Mirren's 1-0 win
32:12over Dundee here in
32:13September moved the
32:14buddies up to third
32:15place but winless in
32:16their last six league
32:17games Saints now sit
32:1810th in the
32:18Premiership one
32:19place and three
32:20points behind today's
32:21opponents this really
32:22does feel like a
32:23crucial match in both
32:24sides respect for
32:25seasons
32:25Steven Robinson
32:27hands first starts to
32:28three players as he
32:29makes four changes
32:30from the draw at
32:30Livingston
32:31Sobowale, Young
32:32and Eteti all make
32:33their first starts with
32:34Tanser also coming in
32:35Richardson,
32:36McMenamin,
32:36John and Mandron
32:37drop out while
32:38Fraser makes his
32:38250th appearance for
32:39the club while
32:41Steven Presley makes
32:42a triple change
32:42following defeat at
32:43Ibrox last time out
32:44Ashley Haye drops out
32:45of the squad with
32:46Simon Murray coming
32:47into attack while
32:48first starts are
32:48handed to Halliday
32:49and Cotterell as
32:50Samuels and Jones
32:51are left on the
32:51bench
32:52Here's Yogan
32:56Chance for the
32:59winger to try and
33:01attack he's beyond
33:01Marcus Fraser
33:02hangs the cross in
33:03it's spelled by
33:04Shemal George and
33:05the chance fell for
33:07Cameron Congreve
33:08it's a big early
33:10chance for the
33:12away side
33:12it's a teasing
33:13ball from
33:14Yogan but he
33:15just scoffed at
33:16it
33:16Halliday
33:19combination play
33:22between him and
33:22Danda
33:23now Murray
33:23Congreve
33:25Halliday it's a
33:25good move from
33:26Dundee
33:26really tidy
33:30combination play on
33:31the right-hand
33:31side
33:32almost
33:33ending with a
33:35really good chance
33:36but it was
33:36closing off in the
33:37end by the
33:38Samuels defence
33:39six assists in the
33:45premiership already
33:45this season
33:46plays it short this
33:47time to Cotterell
33:48they want for a
33:49right who hooks it
33:51on but can only find
33:52Kion Eteti is
33:53St Mirren
33:54in to launch a
33:56counter-attack
33:56look at the run
33:57from Alex Gogic
33:58sends it in to the
34:00box first time
34:01and that is a
34:04massive chance
34:05and it's Richard
34:07King the central
34:08defender
34:08running all the way
34:10up from the back
34:11and he just got the
34:13execution all wrong
34:14what a fantastic
34:15counter-attack from
34:16St Mirren
34:16and King on his
34:17left
34:18just couldn't connect
34:19with it cleanly
34:20that's a huge chance
34:21now it's Halliday
34:25charging forward
34:26finds Congreve
34:28continues his run
34:29Congreve trying to
34:32work a half yard
34:33on that left foot
34:33it's Halliday though
34:35onto Hamilton
34:36lines up the shot
34:37half yard did open
34:41up for
34:42Ethan Hamilton
34:42still awaiting his
34:43first Dundee goal
34:44keeps going
34:47does Halliday
34:48just about finds
34:49Congreve but
34:49Reckleton got an
34:51important touch
34:52and now Gogic
34:53can send Young
34:54on his way
34:55Halliday having to
34:57charge back
34:57but Young still
34:58going
34:58it's Jake Young
34:59into the box
35:00goes down
35:01and it's a Dundee
35:04goal kick
35:04there's a bit of
35:07pressure from Halliday
35:08a bit of pressure
35:09from Astley too
35:10but not enough to
35:11warrant a penalty
35:12in the eyes of Nick
35:13Walsh
35:13it's a curled corner
35:20from Tanser to the
35:21back post
35:21header knocked down
35:23it's Mandron
35:23bubbling around
35:25in the box
35:25and no one can
35:27force it towards goal
35:29it's always effort
35:30and it ends
35:32safely in the hands
35:34of John McCracken
35:35that was a chance
35:45though for St Mirren
35:46here's Young
35:54the touch and
35:55Brad Halliday has
35:57gone down
35:58and seems to be
35:58in a lot of pain
35:59and there's a red
36:00card coming out
36:01for Jake Young
36:02Jake Young
36:05on his first
36:06St Mirren start
36:07has been sent off
36:08you see it again
36:14here
36:14it seems as though
36:15Young has
36:17caught
36:18Halliday on the ankle
36:20and the striker
36:24has been ejected
36:26it's an early
36:31end to the game
36:32for the St Mirren
36:33striker
36:34as his side
36:37are reduced
36:37to ten men
36:38Steven Robinson
36:41looks furious
36:41but Young is off
36:49Halliday won the
36:54ball and then
36:54Young
36:56caught him
36:57on the ankle
36:58right
37:00Halliday
37:03Congreve
37:07on his left
37:10sends the cross
37:11in and the header
37:12from Simon Murray
37:13drifts well
37:16wide of the target
37:17Dundee certainly
37:18asking questions
37:19unable to
37:20test the St Mirren
37:22goal as yet
37:22and that
37:27appealing for a
37:30handball
37:30with the slide
37:32and now
37:32St Mirren can come
37:33forward
37:34it's Lundeloo
37:35fresh legs off the
37:37bench
37:37sends the ball in
37:38for Mandron
37:39it was a positive
37:43attack from the
37:45hosts
37:45good running
37:46from Lundeloo
37:47decent ball in
37:48too
37:48and Mandron
37:49just couldn't
37:50find the angle
37:51and it's full time
37:56at the Smythes
37:57Stadium
37:57a point of peace
38:01in the end
38:02not too many
38:05clear-cut chances
38:06for either side
38:07one or two
38:08big ones
38:08but
38:09chance creation
38:12was relatively
38:15limited
38:15both
38:17managers would
38:18have been
38:19so so keen
38:20to take all
38:21three points
38:22in this one
38:22but it is
38:23what a feast
38:25in terms of
38:26points
38:26as it ends
38:270-0
38:28Jake Young's
38:29second half
38:30red card
38:31the main
38:32talking point
38:32as it finishes
38:33St Mirren 0
38:34Dundee 0
38:35it's another
38:38game unbeaten
38:38so we have to
38:39take the positives
38:39out of it
38:40it's a three game
38:40unbeaten now
38:41I thought the game
38:44was a little bit
38:44scrappy
38:45we had the best
38:45chances of the game
38:46Richard King's a
38:47great chance
38:47first half
38:48with a good
38:48breakaway
38:49we have a
38:49brilliant chance
38:50from Marcus
38:50Fraser when it
38:51was bouncing
38:51about and also
38:52Jake Young
38:53in the same
38:53thing
38:53the red card
38:56I thought the
38:57boys reaction
38:57to the red
38:57card was
38:58brilliant
38:58Mishmal
38:59didn't have a
39:00save to make
39:00the whole day
39:01but we reacted
39:02really well to it
39:03we feel it was
39:03a really unjustified
39:04decision
39:05when I've seen it
39:06back I'm not sure
39:07where he's meant
39:07to put his foot
39:08he's in a stride
39:08there's no attempt
39:09to hurt the player
39:11in any shape or form
39:12but the decision
39:14was made
39:14and you can go
39:15one or two ways
39:15we reacted really
39:16well to it
39:17we still disciplined
39:18and we had a couple
39:20of counter attacks
39:20where we could have
39:21made more off
39:21so in the end
39:22yeah point
39:23we wanted three
39:24but we're happy
39:24with the point
39:25in terms of
39:25how the game
39:26panned out
39:26I think we've come
39:27a long way
39:28you know I think
39:29it's a good point
39:30you know we've had
39:33four or five games
39:34since the turn of the
39:35year away from home
39:36and our only defeat
39:38away from home
39:38has been at Ibrox
39:40and that's a big
39:40turnaround for us
39:41because we're really
39:43struggling away from home
39:44of course them going
39:45down to ten men
39:46you hope you take the game
39:48and the impetus
39:48and go on and win it
39:50but credit to them
39:51they're also fighting
39:52for their lives just now
39:53they're a really
39:54well organised team
39:55a really physical team
39:56but you know
39:58when I look at it
39:59although we're
40:00disappointed we didn't
40:01get the three
40:01I think a point's
40:02a good result
40:03away from home
40:03well we weren't
40:06expecting goals
40:07and like fire being
40:07hot at finish
40:08nil-nil Mikey
40:09but both sides
40:10have massive chances
40:11in that opening half
40:12to score goals
40:14I mean guilt edge chances
40:15yeah absolutely
40:17and you know
40:18it did feel as if
40:18one goal was going to be
40:20all that was needed
40:21in the game
40:21and I mean
40:24certainly this one
40:24for Congreve
40:25it's on his stronger
40:26left foot
40:27you know
40:27it bounces just
40:29in front of him
40:29for him to be
40:30you know
40:31calm and composed
40:32and just stroking
40:33into the back of the net
40:33behind him slightly
40:34yeah but
40:35that is a guilt edge chance
40:36it really is
40:36but this one
40:37I mean great burst
40:39and run from Gogich
40:39but then look
40:40at King
40:41it's the centre half
40:42benefit of the doubt
40:45Bobble's a little bit
40:46in front of him
40:46but still
40:47it's a great chance
40:48it really is a great chance
40:49it's probably
40:50I mean he's made that
40:51long burst and run
40:52surprised to be
40:53in the position he was in
40:54yeah
40:54Stephen Robinson's probably
40:55looking and thinking
40:56oh please not
40:57no
40:57we either liked
40:58preferred it was
40:59somebody else
40:59rather than the big
41:00centre half
41:00yeah I mean it's the
41:01two lowest scoring teams
41:02in the league
41:03there was a lot of chat
41:03before the game
41:04people saying it would
41:04probably end up
41:05nil-nil
41:05it did
41:06one other talking point
41:08in the game
41:08Jake Young
41:09centre off
41:09St Mirren's
41:10new striker
41:11you take it away
41:13I thought Stephen Robinson
41:16summed it up perfectly
41:17he doesn't stretch
41:18he's not high
41:19and yet again
41:21Nick Walsh just
41:22can't get the red card
41:23out quick enough
41:23and as soon as the red card
41:25comes out
41:25and you look at the replays
41:26you felt
41:27there was no way
41:28that VAR was going
41:29to overturn it
41:29yes he catches him
41:30he does
41:31but you know
41:32can you imagine
41:33if he doesn't even
41:34put his foot
41:34to try and challenge
41:35for it
41:35you'd be looking
41:36and going
41:36why is he not
41:37even challenging
41:38for the ball
41:38does it meet criteria
41:39for a straight red card
41:41probably
41:42there's probably enough
41:43in you know
41:43officialdom world
41:45to you know
41:46say that yes it does
41:47but I think
41:48when you've played
41:48the game of football
41:49and you look at that
41:50you say to yourself
41:50you know
41:51I think when you step
41:52onto the football part
41:53you recognise
41:53that occasionally
41:54there is the risk
41:55that you might get hurt
41:56but it doesn't have
41:57to be the fault
41:58and it doesn't have
41:58to be sending off
41:59and booking people
42:00for fouls
42:01and I think
42:01that was a perfect
42:02example of
42:03yellow card
42:04at most
42:05get on with the game
42:05OK to the late kick-off
42:08it's done United
42:09welcome Harles
42:09well the Tanadai's
42:13ground staff
42:13have already
42:14put in a shift
42:15to make sure
42:16the pitch is playable
42:17for the Saturday night
42:19action
42:19Hearts have a chance
42:20to stretch their lead
42:22at the top
42:22of the Premiership
42:24to seven points
42:25if they can win
42:25with Rangers and Celtic
42:27playing tomorrow
42:28Dundee United
42:29though will want
42:29to get something
42:30out of this
42:31as they look
42:32to claw their way
42:33back towards
42:33the top six
42:34straight into
42:36the United
42:37starting line
42:38up for newly
42:38signed goalkeeper
42:39Ashley Maynard Brewer
42:40a total of four
42:41changes to the team
42:42which won in the
42:43Scottish Cup
42:44a fortnight ago
42:45that was their last
42:46game
42:46in comes Strain
42:47Trapanovski
42:48and Muller
42:48a change of keeper
42:50for Hearts
42:51as well
42:52Alexander Swallow
42:53replacing Craig Gordon
42:54two other alterations
42:56to the team
42:56which drew with Celtic
42:58last Sunday
42:58Altena and McEntee
43:00take over from
43:01Steinwender
43:02and McCart
43:02new striker
43:03Rogers
43:04Mato is on the bench
43:05the adaptable
43:17mill
43:17makes a really good
43:21move towards the
43:22byline
43:23and creates
43:24the opening goal
43:25of the game
43:25the title charge
43:28continues
43:28and it's
43:30Pierre-Landri
43:31Kabore
43:32with a tap-in
43:33brilliantly
43:35set up
43:36by Mill
43:36and Dundee
43:39United
43:39just couldn't
43:40get close enough
43:41to him
43:42and it's all
43:44very simple
43:45in the end
43:46for Kabore
43:47as Hearts
43:49look to
43:50stretch their
43:51advantage
43:51at the top
43:52of the
43:53premiership

45:22Dundee
45:22United

50:02Ross Graham
50:02telling him to get down the
50:03tunnel
50:04he just didn't need to get himself involved here
50:08and there was the movement of the head towards Mark Leonard down went the
50:14arch midfielder and Jim Goodwin's team will finish here with nine men on the pitch
50:20and another red card is flashed in the direction of Dundee United legend Davey Bowman one of the coaches at Tana Dice
50:30he's obviously had something to say
50:32he's obviously had something to say
50:33he's obviously had something to say
50:37he's obviously had something to say
50:41it's Kriota
50:43it's Kiziridis
50:45it's Kibori on the turn
50:48and Hots have got their third goal
50:52and it's a double for Pierre Landry Kibori
50:57and a little deflection on that shot from Kibori, he will claim it
51:023-0 hearts and another step towards what they hope will be a dream ending to the season
51:18now comes the cross ball
51:21ends up with Jamie McCart
51:24his cross in
51:26great save
51:27Ashley Maynard Brewer
51:29stops three becoming four
51:33nice ball in from McCart
51:35it was Ajou looking to score his first hearts goal
51:40and that's some save
51:42from the debutant goalkeeper at full stretch
51:46it's another step
51:51towards the title that hearts dream of
51:55and Dundee United have been blown away at Tana Dice
51:58tonight
51:59Jim Goodwin's team ending with nine players on the pitch
52:03hearts
52:053-0 winners, it was comprehensive, it was emphatic
52:09and they move seven points clear
52:12at the top of the Premiership
52:14once we got that first goal with Kibori, a brilliant goal
52:18great combination on the sides with Harry
52:20and Kibori in the middle of the goal to get a goal
52:22I thought we showed real authority in the game
52:24real calmness and real maturity
52:26and obviously we were well supported tonight
52:29with the hearts travelling support
52:32and it just felt like it was going to be our night
52:35I thought we were really strong throughout
52:37obviously a lot will be made of the red cards
52:41but I thought even aside that
52:42I thought we were the team that started better
52:45imposed ourselves on the game and scored good goals
52:47you know it becomes a non-event
52:49we go down to ten men after 20 odd minutes
52:51with a red card that I feel is really disappointing
52:57I wouldn't deem it as endangering an opponent
53:00you know I think it's a little bit reckless
53:02Kamara does put his face alongside the hearts player
53:07but you know there's no way in the world that can be deemed as a headbutt
53:11you know I'll be saying that every time you move your face forward towards a player
53:14it's a red card
53:15you know and I think when the hearts boy watches
53:18you know sports scene back tonight
53:20I think he'll be really embarrassed by his reaction
53:25Hearts make no mistake at Tanadise
53:27extending their lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership
53:29Mikey, for the first goal Denny McInnes was talking about the quality
53:33and it was excellent from Harry Milne down that left hand side
53:36Yeah I mean I thought he was you know really really good
53:40back in his natural left back position
53:43and you see here Kabori getting in between the sticks
53:46and Harry Milne laying it on a plate for him
53:48great play from Milne, drive and run
53:50I think the hearts have missed that
53:52you know recently when he's been here there and everywhere to try and balance the team out
53:56but I've highlighted Ross Graham here
53:58he's the front post defender
54:00he has to block that near post
54:02so the ball doesn't get played against
54:04he's put the anchors on there
54:05and if he just continues to drop
54:08he blocks that
54:09I agree but it's a tricky one for a centre half isn't it
54:11it's not
54:12well if you
54:13let's say he goes in and the ball gets played behind him
54:15he could see there was a player behind him
54:16so he was kind of like sticking or twisting
54:18he didn't know what to do
54:19and he ends up doing nothing
54:20you need to block that near post
54:22front post all the time
54:23I'll take your word for it as a midfielder
54:24if you're getting the ball cut back there
54:26and somebody puts it in the back of the net
54:27you've just got to hold your hands up and say
54:28there's nothing I can do
54:29but you have to block that near post base
54:32Okie doke
54:33Ammar Fatah
54:34sent off carbon copy almost of the sending off in the St Mirren game
54:37you could hear Jim talking about it there
54:39I thought Jim Goodwin was absolutely spot on with his assessment
54:41I've got to be honest
54:42I think this is soft
54:44yes he catches him
54:46it's not endangering the opponent
54:48and I've no doubt
54:50that what happened at St Mirren has a part to play in there
54:53yes it will be sore
54:54but again I say what I mentioned about St Mirren here
54:57can you imagine if Ammar Fatah doesn't even challenge for that
55:00it's a sore one
55:01his foot is on the ground
55:02his heel is on the ground when he makes contact
55:03his heel is on the ground
55:04yeah
55:05and as soon as you see it again
55:06you think to yourself
55:07he's going to get sent off here
55:08but I mean
55:09look
55:10I've said it in the St Mirren game
55:11when you're playing football
55:12there are occasions where you will get hurt
55:14and it doesn't have to be somebody's fault
55:15but
55:16was that going to potentially break Mark Leonard's ankle?
55:18never in a month of Sundays
55:20it was a sore one
55:21yes
55:22I think a yellow card
55:23as the referee
55:24had initially looked together
55:26I think that was suffice
55:29I'd be inclined to agree with that
55:30inclined
55:31second goal came from the penalty spot
55:33VAR
55:34getting this one right
55:35obviously it was a tight one to call for the referee
55:37but right on the line
55:38and correctly awarded
55:40yeah this was
55:41I mean look you can understand in real time
55:43how the referee thinks that that's outside the box
55:45because
55:46most of Braga's body is outside
55:49but his boot is on the line
55:50and
55:51the clumsy challenge
55:52I mean from
55:53Jim Goodman's perspective
55:54it's more of that
55:55it's like
55:56there's about five bodies around
55:57Kizaridis to begin with
55:59they don't defend it well enough
56:00Ryan Strain coming in there
56:01as you can see
56:02in the still
56:03it definitely was
56:04a penalty kick
56:05and credit to VAR
56:06on this occasion
56:07it's not happened very often
56:08but
56:09on this occasion VAR got that one
56:10spot on it
56:11it was a penalty kick in
56:12Kizaridis
56:13great finish
56:14really good
56:15I thought Kizaridis
56:16you know
56:17he's
56:18it's his first goal
56:19I think in 15 games
56:20a long time eh
56:21it's from the penalty spot
56:22but I thought his all round play was very bright
56:24I thought he was a constant threat tonight
56:26yeah it was
56:27Kamara
56:28sent off in 75 minutes
56:30Jim again
56:31not happy with this one
56:32it's not a headbutt
56:34but
56:35can you motion your head towards
56:36an opponent
56:37I mean let's be honest
56:38Leonard
56:39makes an absolute meal of it
56:40because there's no way
56:41there was that force to take him down in the deck like that
56:44no
56:45it's not
56:46again
56:47I think
56:48Jim Goodwin's
56:49it's a fair assessment of it
56:50but
56:51you just can't
56:52you know
56:53as much as I agree
56:54I don't think
56:55well it's not a headbutt
56:56and yes he does motion
56:57it's
56:58extremely naive
56:59and silly of Kamara
57:00it is silly
57:01he gives the referee an opportunity
57:03and he
57:04but
57:05also
57:06from Leonard's perspective
57:07I don't think
57:08I don't like seeing that
57:09no
57:10I don't like seeing that
57:11but it's stupid from Kamara
57:13yeah
57:14agreed
57:15could a yellow card have been enough?
57:16possibly
57:17but
57:18Kamara's
57:19it's so stupid to have done that
57:20in a position where Dundee were already up against it
57:23you look at the Dungeons United and just
57:25the
57:41that's a big factor in their success
57:47the team is very well balanced and they've got lots of additions coming into the team as well and I think the fact that they've rided out the injuries with a big big result there was a huge huge
57:48huge one for them
57:50certainly was that
57:51okay it is time for a wee look at the table tonight
57:54okay
57:55it is time for a wee look at the table tonight
57:56okay
57:57hearts go seven clear at the top
57:58motherwell are in fourth on 43 points
58:00Aberdeen
58:01Aberdeen

58:11Neighbours Dundee are in ninth on 23
58:12St Mervyn
58:13with 20 points

58:18and that is it for tonight
58:20in fact for January
58:22thanks to Michael for joining me
58:24and if like me you have been doing dry January
58:26well
58:27enjoy tomorrow

58:29goodnight

58:44yeah everybody's going crazy
