03:15And we begin with breaking news that's coming in. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in Delhi is
03:20met with the Chief Election Commissioner, Gyanesh Kumar, just a day after she'd gone ahead and moved
03:26the Supreme Court against him. And Mamata Banerjee didn't hold back. If that meeting was meant to
03:31resolve any differences, it clearly didn't. And you can see in the images there, Mamata, who's usually
03:37always wearing white, chose to wear black in protest along with all the other TMC leaders who were part
03:43of this delegation. She's called the Chief Election Commissioner, Gyanesh Kumar, as arrogant. She's
03:49called him a liar. She said very clearly that they were treated very badly by the election commission
03:56chief. And not just that, she even claims that she told the CEC that he'll meet a similar fate as that of
04:04this dunker. Here are some highlights of what Mamata Banerjee said.
04:34Yes, when we saw a verse, we returned in the
04:3833-25 had a known name from Haryana camp under 45th. She should have taken a chen
04:43to the visa and the opposing visa. The name needs to be changed. It should have been changed.
04:46The name wasn't changed, she should have taken auit. But what were the came in this
04:48market? The people showed the AI recognition of what were the products that we were
04:49getting to the police direction. The daughter, who's her daughter, the daughter, is
04:54married, would be able to get treated as a salvation. And that she was
04:56But we have given services that they have given access to the government,
05:00who has given address for the government,
05:04so that the government has given access to the government,
05:07that is already the plan of getting access andrus,
05:09it should be specific to the government.
05:13The government has given us the government's government,
05:16which is also the government's government.
05:21We had politics in Delhi many days, we were four terms of minister, seven terms of MPs,
05:32but we have never seen this election commission.
05:39The people who are so arrogant, are a great liar, we said to them that they refer you to something.
05:51Because no chair is permanent for anybody.
05:54One you have to go.
05:56But don't create this precedent.
06:00And only why Bengal is being targeted.
06:04There is an election in the democracy festival.
06:09And what did you say?
06:11First, the people who were talking about.
06:16And they didn't defend themselves.
06:21Okay, let's bring in Aishwarya Paliwal for more details on this.
06:25Aishwarya, if there was any hope of some sort of a breakthrough in the deadlock between the TMC and EC that clearly didn't happen,
06:33if anything Mamata Banerjee has come out only to target the chief election commissioner all the more.
06:38Take us through what really you picked up from your sources or what transpired in that meeting.
06:48Well, you know, Akshita, from what we are understanding at the moment, Mamata Banerjee puts forth all the documents.
06:53Of course, the CEC, Yanesh Kumar, who very clearly pointed out and said that there have been cases, multiple cases rather in the state of West Bengal,
07:00where people have not been able to prove that they actually are citizens of our country.
07:04And one thing is very, very clear that only those who are citizens of India are the ones who are allowed to vote.
07:09Manata Banerjee, however, when she came out, and I'm standing right outside the election commission building,
07:14let me tell you, and you rightly pointed out that, you know, she's someone who always wears white because she is protesting.
07:19She, in fact, is also alleging that because they were not being heard properly in protest, they boycotted the meeting, came out,
07:25and she's now alleging that they have very clearly told the election commission that this is something that they will not allow to happen in the state of West Bengal.
07:32The TMC and the chief minister are now alleging that names are being deleted.
07:37She's also saying that they need to understand that people do change their names, their names are being changed,
07:44but people are giving out documents and all those people who actually came with her, they came with proof.
07:49So all those documents, all those proofs have now been submitted to the election commission of India.
07:53The election commission, however, has given them an assurance that they will look into all these complaints
07:58and they will also once again scrutinize the way in which SIR is being done in the state of West Bengal.
08:03Alright, thanks very much, Aishwarya, for getting us those details.
08:06We'll see how things move from here, because remember that Mamata Banerjee has already moved the Supreme Court against Gyanesh Kumar.
08:13And now after this meeting, she's targeted again the CEC, even saying that he'll meet a similar fate as that of Jagdeep Dhankar.
08:21We'll continue tracking all the reactions that come in on that.
08:23We're cutting across to more breaking news coming in.
08:28Now after the all-out showdown that we witnessed in parliament, Rahul Gandhi has once again targeted,
08:37the Prime Minister taking to social media.
08:39He said that the former army chief's statement is exposing how Prime Minister Modi and Minister Rajnath Singh let down the army,
08:48and that's why I'm not being allowed to speak in parliament, because they fear what I will expose.
08:54This is Rahul Gandhi's statement to social media hours after he had repeatedly raised the quotes mention of the former army chief's memoir.
09:04Remember, that was countered by the Speaker, who said you cannot refer to an unpublished material.
09:10And that's what led to that showdown.
09:12There were three adjournments in all that took place, which means Rahul Gandhi couldn't complete his speech in the Lok Sabha,
09:19which is why now the leader of opposition maintains that this is because there's a fear of what exactly he will expose,
09:26and that he will expose the Prime Minister, as he puts it.
09:29But let me explain to you exactly what played out in parliament today.
09:39What was this about? Why was there a showdown between Rahul Gandhi and the government?
09:43Rahul Gandhi essentially quoted the former army chief, Narwaneh's unpublished memoir.
09:48What to highlight here is the fact that this is an unpublished memoir written by the former army chief.
09:54It refers to Chinese incursions in the Himalayas.
09:57There's a specific mention about the conversation that was had over these Chinese incursions.
10:01And the suggestion is that maybe there was not enough action taken by the government, which is what Rahul Gandhi has raised.
10:09He has raised these particular mentions in the memoir.
10:12Again, I'll highlight that it's unpublished to question the government on the issue of China, which he's referred to previously as well.
10:19So this time, referring to the former army chief, he said that this is explosive and that the government must respond.
10:25However, Rahul Gandhi wasn't allowed to complete because the speaker repeatedly pulled up Rahul Gandhi,
10:31repeatedly told him you cannot make a mention of a memoir that hasn't been published.
10:36And so he's been accused of flouting rules.
10:39The rule book was pulled out. The speaker also mentioned which exactly were the rules that Rahul Gandhi was flouting.
10:45It didn't stop the leader of opposition. However, he continued with, in fact, raising the same issue adjournment after adjournment.
10:51Every time it was reconvened, Rahul Gandhi referred to the same thing.
10:54The government then objected, also citing exactly the same rule as the speaker, saying that unpublished material cannot be produced in parliament.
11:02That is unsubstantiated. And so this is not something that can be referred to.
11:07You had Home Minister Amit Shah. You had Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
11:11All of them hitting back at Rahul Gandhi in the floor of the house, in the Lok Sabha.
11:16Rahul Gandhi then alleged that this was a conspiracy, that he wasn't being allowed to speak because the government was afraid of exactly what will be mentioned.
11:25And he's also claimed that the reason Naravani's memoir hasn't been published is because the government is blocking it out of fear of what will be mentioned.
11:34So he says that the government is scared that they're silencing me.
11:38The government is hit back saying that Rahul Gandhi is a fake news factory.
11:43If you missed out on the showdown that played out in parliament through the day, we've got you covered.
11:48Here's a look at some of those highlights.
11:50Rahul Gandhi, the leader of opposition, was speaking.
11:52You had multiple interventions from the Home Minister, the Defence Minister, the Prime Minister was in the house when all of this was playing out.
11:59So these were the members of the parliament mentioned.
12:12They weren't talking about the policy, they weren't talking about policy.
12:15They were saying that they are international.

14:06Thank you for letting me speak on the presidential address.
14:22I was raising a fundamental issue about the relationship between China and India
14:34and what happened on the Kailash Ridge between armies.
14:41I'd like to go to what Mr. Narawane said.
14:50No.
14:58It's a matter of national security.
15:02Chinese troops, forces were right in front of our forces.
15:10Chinese forces, our forces had taken Kailash Ridge, sir, in Eastern Ladakh.
15:18Chinese forces...
15:20I want to say that this is what the Neta Prachibraksh is saying.
15:28They are not the people.
15:31They are not the people who are aware of this.
15:33They are the people of our forces,
15:34and who will be aware of this.
15:36You might know this.
15:37foreign
15:56foreign
16:07Sir, China and India is written about China's tanks were coming to Kailash Ridge.
16:23The tanks were coming to Kailash Ridge.
16:30Chinese tanks had entered our border.
16:34Listen!
16:36Chinese tanks.
16:38We want to hear that.
16:41What has your word is.
16:43We want to hear it and hear it again.
16:48Whatever has to say, not the permission of Kailash Ridge.
16:51You will get what you can do every time.
16:55And show the country down.
16:58you can tell us what will you get, tell us what will you get, you can tell us and what will you get.
17:04In this moment, we all need to come together, no matter what will you get.
17:10You are telling such a thing, there is no source of this,
17:16who has told us that the Chinese tank is standing here or the Indian tank is standing here,
17:21who is not standing here, who is standing here, we are standing here,
17:26we are all very good, I want to be under control of Raul Gandhi Ji.
17:31You are not saying such things, don't say such things,
17:36which will fall down to our land, don't do this, don't say such a thing.
17:42I say that Narawani Ji Ji has written about the Pradhan Mantri Ji,
17:46who has written his book in his book,
17:51he has written an article, I am quoting the article,
17:55I am not saying, I am not saying, I am not saying,
17:59Narawani Ji Ji has written this book,
18:03they are scared, because if it is gone,
18:09then Narendra Modi and Rajnath Singh is the reality,
18:13people will know that when China was in front of us,
18:18and was coming in front of us,
18:21what happened in that line,
18:23what happened in that line?
18:25The total half-gives that Rahul Gandhi Ji has done,
18:28the time of the time,
18:30he had written about the time,
18:32that he was talking about China border,
18:34I am saying,
18:38whether China,
18:40the time of China,
18:42the time of China,
18:43the time of China,
18:44or the time of China,
18:46In 1959 and 1962, you can bring the Congress party back to the Congress.
18:56In 1959, some places in Arunachal Pradesh, which was Nefa, and in Ladakh, were also in China.
19:07After coming to Modi, it became our entire border infrastructure.
19:13So remember, the basis over which you're seeing this entire showdown in Parliament
19:18is Rahul Gandhi referring to the unpublished memoir of the former Army Chief, General Naravani.
19:24Now, what exactly did General Naravani say? This is an unpublished memoir.
19:28So that's something we can't show you. But we will, in fact, play out for you
19:32what the former Army Chief had said on the issue of China previously.
19:37Now, this is what, in fact, the BJP has also been referring to, to counter Rahul Gandhi,
19:42saying that while he's referring to certain quotes from an unpublished memoir,
19:46the former Army Chief has been praising previously how India handled the issue with China.
19:52Here are some of those instances of what he said.
19:55So, what, in the sense of the country, the Indian War of China has been saying that
19:58the Indian War of China has been around for the past few years?
20:00foreign
20:29Our stand is the same, that the status of April 2020, we have to go back to that.
20:36And the agreement is the same.
20:59China is a country in the global eyes.
21:03But after this clash occurred and we showed that it is possible to stand up to China who tries to bully its smallest neighbors.
21:12Once we did that, I think from Canada to Lithuania to Europe to Philippines, everyone actually got that feeling that yes,
21:22if you are fighting for what is correct, if you have a principle stand, it is possible to take a stand even against China.
21:29And India as a country, we showed, India as a country showed to the world that it is possible to take on that neighborhood bully.
21:36As is the case everywhere, whether it is a school bully or a neighborhood bully, you have to stand up to him sometime or the other.
21:41We showed it can be done.
21:42OK, we're cutting across to the latest breaking news that's coming in on the Mamta versus EC showdown.
21:53After Mamta Banerjee wearing black had lashed out to the chief election commissioner, calling him arrogant,
22:00saying they were extremely rude to the TMC delegation.
22:03Here's what the election commissioner said in response.
22:06The EC has claimed that Mamta Banerjee during the meeting with the chief election commissioner, Gyanesh Kumar,
22:11had banged her hand on the table in what was supposed to be a cordial meeting.
22:16So they're essentially suggesting that she was the one who had misbehaved in this meeting.
22:20The EC also has said that Mamta abruptly left the meeting, again highlighting that this was meant to be cordial
22:27and yet there was all of this that played out.
22:30However, while Mamta Banerjee says that, you know, the CEC was extremely rude, was extremely arrogant,
22:36the election commission maintains that there was no sort of heated exchange or argument that led to this moment of Mamta Banerjee walking out abruptly.
22:45They've maintained that the Trinamore Congress is threatening poll officials.
22:48So the showdown continues between Mamta Banerjee and the election commission.
22:52If this was meant to be some sort of a meet that would lead to middle ground between Mamta Banerjee
22:57and the chief election commissioner, that definitely wasn't the case.
23:00Because Mamta Banerjee, wearing all black in protest, made a very clear what her intention was.
23:04She stepped out, lashed out at the CEC, calling him arrogant, saying even that he'd meet the same fate as Dhankar.
23:11And sources within the election commission dismissing these statements, saying very clearly that it was Mamta Banerjee who banged her hand on a table.
23:20Let's get you the latest updates coming in from poll-bound Tamil Nadu, where the big headline was all about Vijay turning up the political heat in Tamil Nadu.
23:28In Tamil Nadu, TVK completing two years, and at that particular event, Vijay lashed out at both the DMK and AIADMK.
23:36Many would argue that this speech that he made today was perhaps his most impactful so far, making it clear exactly where he was headed politically at least,
23:45whether he's going to ally with either side, and also about the road ahead.
23:49Of course, as expected, Vijay has expressed confidence that he will emerge victor in the upcoming elections.
23:56Let's get you all the details, highlights in this report.
23:59As a Tamiraga Vetri Karagam completed two years in politics on Monday, actor-turned-politician and party chief, Vijay made one thing clear.
24:12His party is here to win the upcoming assembly elections in Tamil Nadu.
24:16Celebrations churned electric when singer Vel Murugan performed a special song.
24:33Clearly moved, Vijay surprised supporters by breaking into a dance on stage, a moment that has now gone viral, with party carders cheering and whistling in delight.
24:44Adressing the controversy around his upcoming film, Jananayagan Vijay said that his movie is deliberately not being allowed to release.
25:00So, when he was listening to the cinema, he would die to the cinema in the movie.
25:04So, the film performed a super cool word.
25:05So, in that time he started talking to me.
25:07So, if you were talking to me, i am going to be a cinema, he was like this.
25:09Whenever we were talking, you would see the cinema.
25:10The film performed a cinema.
25:11I'm not playing cinema.
25:12If you're playing cinema.
25:13You're playing cinema.
25:14If you're playing cinema, don't you win cinema.
25:15Exuding confidence, Vijay declared the TVK's victory in the 2026 elections is certain.
25:45More than 10 lakhs people coming without money and without any like any pulling force and that just one announcement of our leader gives brought nearly 15 lakhs people into Manali is not that simple no one in India can do that what I could see is like all segment of people in Tamil Nadu Tamil Nadu have got a lot of hope and we could see that in the ground wherever we go.
26:13He also rejected the idea of AIA-DMK leading the NTA insisting that any triangular fight will be between TVK, the DMK and the BGP led alliance.
26:43Drawing parallels with MG Ramachandran, Vijay said legends too were once mocked.
27:00He was once mocked.
27:01He was once mocked.
27:02He was once mocked.
27:03Who came to the RCA?

27:37I'm going to go,

27:41Calling his opponents evil and scam forces,
27:45Vijay said they would be driven away
27:47by the whistle of the people.
27:51The whistle,
27:53the whistle,

28:30Pitanaga Keshav in Chennai, Bureau Report, India Today.
28:37Now a story that's rocked both Karnataka and Kerala.
28:41The investigation is underway into the sudden death
28:44of prominent real estate tycoon CJ Roy.
28:48In the latest development, Kerala Chief Minister Pinerai Vijayan
28:51has written to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman
28:53seeking a judicial probe into the death of the businessman.
28:57Remember, he died by suicide and because, allegedly,
29:00he was under pressure from the IT department.
29:03Now Pinerai Vijayan in his letter has questioned
29:05how Roy accessed a loaded gun during an income tax search operation,
29:10flagging possible failure to follow minimum search protocols.
29:13Citing Roy's family, the Chief Minister has referred to allegations
29:17of harassment by IT officials and called for a credible independent inquiry.
29:21CJ Roy is the founder and chairman of the Confident Group
29:25and he allegedly shot himself at his Bengaluru office.
29:28Police reported he was critically injured,
29:30was declared dead when brought to hospital.
29:33And sources indicate that Roy took the extreme step
29:35amid ongoing income tax scrutiny of his firm.
29:38And that's what's led to a whole lot of politics as well,
29:41with the Karnataka government, the Kerala government,
29:43both saying that this was unfortunate
29:46and blaming the agencies for his demise.
29:51In the budget that was presented on Sunday,
29:54there were a couple of announcements for Kerala,
29:56but the state isn't happy.
29:58There were expectations that for Kerala
30:00there would be an announcement on an Ames in the state
30:03or a special package on Virinium port development.
30:07None of this was mentioned.
30:08Instead, among the announcements and allocations made
30:11was one of Turtle Trails,
30:13which has particularly grabbed the attention of Keralites.
30:16Sample this and what we're showing you some of those memes.
30:18There's a meme of a turtle in a mundu
30:21speaking on the phone and saying
30:22AIM stands for All India AMA Association.
30:26AMA is turtle in Malayalam.
30:28There are cartoons of the government
30:30gifting the budget and finding turtles inside.
30:33Another post depicting a conversation
30:35between Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman
30:37and Suresh Gopi has also gone viral,
30:39in which Nirmala Sitaraman asks Suresh Gopi
30:41if he needs AIMs.
30:43Now Gopi replies,
30:44In Tamil, AMA, which means yes in Tamil,
30:47but AMA in Malayalam means turtle.
30:50Another post shows Keralites expecting high-speed rails,
30:53expecting AIMs for being given turtles and coconuts,
30:55referring to the other big announcement in the budget,
30:57which is for coconut farmers.
30:59Kerala's social media has gone full turtle mode.
31:22Forget AIMs, high-speed trains or Viringyam port,
31:35this year is all about turtles.
31:37The union budget 2026-27 mentioned Kerala only twice.
31:48Once for rare-earth corridors
31:50and once for eco-friendly turtle trails along the coast.
31:54Kerala asked for AIMs, a high-speed rail corridors,
32:13a special package for Viringyam port
32:16and got coconuts and turtles instead.
32:20From AIMs, dreams to turtle memes,
32:31Kerala's social media has turned budget blues
32:34into comedy gold.
32:41One imagines a phone call
32:44where every answer is AMA, AMA,
32:46which in Tamil means yes
32:48and in Malayalam means turtle.
32:57Who knew the state's newest mascot
32:59would have four legs, a shell
33:02and zero political ambitions?
33:07With Simran Siroha, Bureau Report, India Today.
33:11So Kerala getting rather creative with its memes there,
33:18objecting to the fact that none of the demands that were made
33:21were mentioned in the budget.
33:22But mind you, it's also taken a political turn
33:25because you've had several politicians in Kerala
33:26also sharing many of these memes.
33:28I'm referring, of course, to the left and the Congress.
33:31And it's important to highlight that that's happening
33:33at a time when an election is around the corner in Kerala.
33:36And the BJP certainly fancies their chances in the state.
33:39We are going to, of course, track all the latest
33:41that comes in from the poll-bound states,
33:43particularly of Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
33:46But that's all I have time for in this edition of Super 6.
33:48Thanks very much for tuning in.
