00:09us is the all-new BMW X3 30xDrive M Sport Pro. Yes, I know it's a very long name.
00:22And this is the brand new X3. Well, there are a few things about this X3. I will just show
00:27you how the car looks like. Well, this video is not about how it drives because the video is under
00:32embargo. But this thing gets a couple of things that are new inside and I will show you how it is
00:39actually done. Now, the two things that we are going to do in this video is first of all, there
00:43is a new feature that's the boost mode and you also have launch control in this. So, let's quickly
00:49open the hood and that is the engine. Well, this is a 2-liter turbo petrol engine and this produces
00:56258 bhp 400 nm of peak torque and this gets a 48 volt mild hybrid system which also helps in the boost.
01:06So, let us now go in the car and before I go inside, just have a look at it. You get these
01:13beautiful 20-inch wheels, red brake calipers, skid plate at the side. You don't get any chrome on this
01:20car. Just look at the piano black finishing on this front, back, side and additionally you also
01:26get a spoiler that is not there on the test lead vehicle that is this one. But that spoiler looks
01:31very nice. It's actually in gloss black and it definitely looks fantastic. So, let's quickly have
01:37a peep on the inside. So, that is the rear section. You have this panoramic sunroof and if we
01:44go in the front, well that's how the door handle is just slipped out of my hand. But yeah, that is the
01:51interiors of the X3. Now, okay, so that is how the cockpit looks like. Well, that are the interiors.
02:06Big panoramic sunroof and I can't tell anything about this but I'll let you tell us what do you think
02:12about the interiors on the X3 now. Ambient lighting inside this glass casing looking absolutely
02:18fantastic. It changes. I'll just change the mode and you will see that the light also changes and it
02:25changes in style. There you go. It has this fluidic design which is looking nice and that is how the
02:33cluster looks like. That is the infotainment system. Both of them are really, really bright. You can
02:41obviously reduce the brightness. You have a heads up display. I don't know if you can see it from
02:45here. Yes, you can. That is the heads up display. Flat bottom steering wheel, M Sport on the steering
02:51wheel and now let us go and check out the launch control and this thing, the boost mode that is
03:00right over here and the company claims that 0 to 100 comes in at just 6.3 seconds with the boost mode and
03:06the launch control. So we will be checking that out. In the meantime, I will show you how to activate
03:11the launch control. Well, first of all, let us go back to the main menu. So what you'll have to do is
03:20you have to put on the air conditioning. Then you'll have to select this my mode button. You'll have these
03:25modes. Go to sport mode. Go to individual settings, driving dynamics. Go to that. Put it on sport plus.
03:33Your traction control will be off or rather on the sport setting. Then what you do is you put the
03:40gear first in D and then you put it again in S1. After that thing happens, press the brake and
03:49press the throttle. And there you go. Your launch control mode is active. How do you activate the
03:55boost mode? Well, you just press this lever for a couple of seconds. And there you go. That's your
04:01countdown. So basically in these 10 seconds, it'll give you that additional boost and the 48 volt
04:06motor that is inside obviously helps in that. And it's just for 10 seconds. So how do you activate
04:12both? Well, you press this and the launch control together. So you press this and then
04:18so your boost and launch both are activated together. Let's quickly do a pull and see how
04:23this car performs. Okay. So now let's go ahead and launch it well with the boost over here. So we'll
04:29press this and we'll launch control active. And here we go. Oh, this thing was hard. And here we go.
04:40100, 130, 160. Let's test the brakes. Barely tapping them. Barely tapping them.
