00:00We got you.
00:15We got you.
00:16We're.
00:30So look, I want to thank everybody for their support.
00:47It really, it truly means the world to me.
00:50I have no idea what's going on because obviously I haven't seen anything.
00:53I have spent my entire career covering the news.
00:57I will not stop now.
01:00In fact, there is no more important time than right now, this very moment, for a free and
01:08independent media that shines a light on the truth and holds those in power accountable.
01:13Again, I will not stop now.
01:15I will not stop ever.
01:19Last night, the DOJ sent a team of federal agents to arrest me in the middle of the night for
01:24something that I've been doing for the last 30 years, and that is covering the news.
01:30The First Amendment of the Constitution protects that work for me and for countless of other
01:35journalists who do what I do.
01:39I stand with all of them and I will not be silenced.
01:44I look forward to my day in court.
01:47Thank you all.
01:48I just have to say after leaving the court proceedings, I am very glad that our renowned, esteemed reporter,
01:59Don Lemon, will be released on his own recognizance because he should not have been in court anyway.
02:07How far is this going to go?
02:09We're 155 days away from celebrating the 250th anniversary of our democracy that has been under
02:18attack every day since this administration took over.
02:22I am not a lawyer, but I will tell you to listen to this court proceedings that made no sense at all.
02:30What they described as his crime, from my perspective, a layperson's perspective, was the work of a reporter.
02:39He went into the church along with the protesters.
02:43He covered the story.
02:45He listened to what the people said who were in the church.
02:50That is his crime.
02:52It made no sense to me, and frankly, if I were the administration, if I were the other side,
03:00I would be embarrassed by that court proceeding that actually wanted to limit his movements
03:07so he could not go anywhere except for Minnesota to New York, a journalist who travels the country.
03:15So we have seen protesters under attack.
03:17We have seen people being snatched off our street, and now all of you are at risk.
03:25And this is just unacceptable.
03:27This assault on our democracy has got to end.
