00:00So they're hitting the metrics, a billion euros of revenue in 2025.
00:04What underpin that growth and what are you targeting in terms of revenue growth in 2026?
00:10Great to see you again, Tom. Thank you so much for having me on the show today.
00:15You know, we've had a spectacular year in 2025.
00:19We were the first global experiences platform that crossed the billion euros in revenue.
00:25This is a milestone that I, as a founder, have waited for for more than a decade.
00:31And that clearly puts us into the category leadership in one of the most exciting spaces there is.
00:38The experiences economy at this point in time is more than 400 billion euros in spend a year.
00:44And it's really gone from being an afterthought and an add-on a decade ago
00:49to being the key source of inspiration for travelers around the globe.
00:53So looking forward, what does that mean?
00:56Obviously, there's a huge AI disruption coming up in the travel ecosystem,
01:00which we believe will further fuel the growth of our platform.
01:03And, you know, we are really incredibly excited about the growth trajectory that we're currently seeing.
01:09We see growth across all of the major markets, Europe, the U.S. and Asia.
01:13And we're very optimistic about this year, again, you know, leveling up even further to the fantastic 12 months we've had.
01:20Well, we certainly want to get more of your views on what AI does to the industry, Johannes.
01:25But before we get there, so a billion dollars, a billion euros in revenue, you're profitable.
01:29What's the IPO strategy?
01:31Is that in the pipeline for 2026?
01:33Do you go public this year?
01:34And if so, where are you looking?
01:37A company like ourselves that is now north of a billion euros in revenue, you know, which equates to more than four billion in sales that have been done over the last 12 months.
01:50So that's 33 million experiences booked and cash flow profitable, you know, being able to fund, you know, your own growth means that you really can take a long term view.
02:02And I, as a founder, I've been with this business now for more than 15 years.
02:06I believe that the brightest days are still ahead of us.
02:10I think there's still a ton of opportunity in the experiences industry to further digitize our massive supply base.
02:17We now have more than 50,000 businesses selling on Get Your Guide, 200,000 experiences that are listed.
02:25But there are more than a million globally that we can capture, and the market is growing fast.
02:30So new experienced creators are coming on the platform on a daily basis with really interesting offerings, anything from, you know, very cool tours in Slovenia to, you know, major attractions like Disney.
02:42So it's really about the execution against that market opportunity.
02:47So what about an IPO in 2026, Johannes?
02:51We keep all of the options for our shareholders all open.
02:55You know, we will create optionality, but at the same point in time, it is not the end goal to be a public company.
03:04For us, it's really about capturing the market opportunity, and that might be very well one step along the way.
03:10But I didn't find the business just to go public.
03:14Johannes, how do you compete against OpenAI, Gemini, et cetera, when people start thinking about planning their trips?
03:22Isn't that going to be the first port of call?
03:24How do you compete against that kind of competition?
03:26So I strongly believe that the experiences industry is highly fragmented and not very digitized.
03:35And most importantly, the data quality is not very good.
03:39We see that every single day.
03:41And Get Your Guide has built the best experiences layer in terms of data and engagement of a global supply base, building up a very high-quality catalog.
03:50And then all of the agents on top, whether that is the Get Your Guide search in our app, more than 50% of our revenue now is going directly through the Get Your Guide app,
03:59or whether that's the OpenAI agent, ChatGPT just announced ads, or whether that is Google or others.
04:07You know, they just drive incremental growth and incremental bookings.
04:10So therefore, I don't necessarily see them as competition, but it's rather complementing our ecosystem.
04:15Okay, yeah, that's what I was going to ask you, Johannes, is how widely you define the competitive landscape.
04:22So you don't see AI tools, general AI tools, as competition for the kind of experience discovery that you're providing.
04:31Why wouldn't people just find things on, say, on a large language model and book direct?
04:36Because, you know, typically, you know, people underestimate how hard it is to actually come up with the plumbing and create the catalog and create the choice for customers
04:48so that they can really understand which experience they should be booking.
04:53You know, if you look at Berlin, you know, I'm in snowy Berlin, as you can see in the background.
04:57You know, we have thousands and thousands of different experience creators and providers, and it is not possible for an agent to truly give you a good itinerary
05:07unless you are in direct contracts with them and capture their data.
05:11And that's exactly what Get Your Guide does.
05:13And therefore, we have a data advantage in our vertical.
05:17We have a global base of now more than 33 million people booking our experiences on a yearly basis,
05:23more than 50,000 businesses listing and optimizing their businesses.
05:27And therefore, it's natural that all of the large language providers will ultimately need to route through us and will need to go through us.
05:34And as I said, you know, we also have a pretty strong brand and a lot of people come direct.
05:39Do you think, Johannes, are you well positioned now, given the profitability to make some acquisitions and consolidate in the industry?
05:46Is that something that could come to play in 2026 for you and the team?
05:48So what we're looking at is always how we can grow the market and how we can grow our share in the market.
05:56And there's always new technologies, new entrepreneurial teams, new verticals that are being captured
06:02where we might not be as strong as in our core verticals of guided tours, attraction tickets, et cetera.
06:10So, you know, we'd always look at that.
06:12But, you know, we have a pretty strong organic capability.
06:14Get Your Guide has grown fully organically to more than a billion in revenue.
06:19And we don't see any end of sight of that growth rate.
06:22So that's really the key focus.
