00:00Prices were very strong on a very good yarding of coloured Hereford, Black Baldy and Euro calves.
00:08The steer job early on was very strong and in places comparable to the Black Sale two days ago.
00:14We had some very good runs of cattle out of the Mansfield district,
00:18making up to $1800 and $1900 and into the mid to high $5 a kilo in places.
00:23A highlight for me was the heifer job.
00:26And Euro heifers made actually up and over $5 a kilogram in places.
00:31Hereford heifers up to $4.50, so they put a really strong floor right throughout the job for the day.
00:38And who were the major buyers at the sale today?
00:41The buying strength, where did the cattle go?
00:43There's cattle have gone everywhere.
00:45From Gippsland, there were a couple of good orders out of Gippsland, including one on the Euro steers.
00:50The local competition from within two hours of Wodonga was excellent,
00:54as well as cattle going as far as Tamworth, Gundawindi and either southern Queensland.
01:01So cattle going all different directions.
