00:00Hi guys and welcome to DriveSpark, I'm Prameet and today what we are driving is the 2024
00:11Mercedes-Benz GLA and this particular variant is the AMG trim.
00:16So let's quickly start this video and I'll tell you everything you need to know about
00:20this vehicle because there are a few changes that Mercedes-Benz has done to this all new
00:24GLA.
00:33So starting off with the front end, the very first thing you'll notice that the headlight
00:37is now different because it gets a new headlamp cluster, you have the high beam, low beam
00:41indicator and the DRLs all integrated into one single cluster, apart from that, you have
00:47a different grille, the grille has now been changed, looks really nice, gives the car
00:51a muscular look, plus you also get the AMG treatment on the bumpers as well, so the bumpers
00:56look aggressive, other than that, you get hood lines and fuses and if you move on to
01:02the side of the car, you will notice that since this is the AMG line, this gets the
01:0619-inch AMG five-spoke alloy wheels, looks really nice, from the side, not much has changed,
01:14actually the side profile of the car remains the same, you get some amount of chrome treatment
01:18on the door and on the window trims, but what you do get different is a new set of tail
01:25lamps, so when you move behind, you'll see that the tail lamp now is slightly different,
01:29plus you also get your 4Matic badge, since this is a 4x4 and you get your GLA 220D badge,
01:37since this is a diesel and you have a wiper with a washer, plus you can see you have a
01:42spoiler as well and to complement the sportiness, they have also given dual exhaust tips, so
01:47both are functional and overall, the car looks nice and especially in this new colour
01:54that Mercedes has introduced.
02:06So now let's move on to the inside of the vehicle and the very first thing you will
02:10notice is that now this gets a new infotainment system, there's the new MBUX system, the latest
02:15software that the company is running on all their cars, now the updated infotainment system
02:21and the cluster, I mean, they feature a lot of things, I mean, you generally have to sit
02:26and explore, there are tons of features and you also have the Mercedes me app, through
02:31which you can control and connect and get a lot of information about your vehicle.
02:36Now other than that, on the inside, you also get some carbon fibre finishing, I mean, some
02:41carbon fibre elements on the dashboard and on the door panels as well, other than that,
02:48I think rest remains the same, you get a flat bottom steering wheel, you get beautiful seats,
02:52finished Alcantara and leather and everything is soft touch, you get an all blacked out
02:57interior where you get a little bit of red stitching to give a sense, obviously, this
03:01is the AMG line and you also get the AMG mats and the AMG door sills, so when you opt for
03:07this AMG line, you practically get everything, apart from the obviously the engine, so this
03:13is the AMG trim, well Ned, let's talk about the specifications.
03:25So this is powered by a two litre turbo diesel engine and that pumps out 188 bhp of power
03:32and 400 nm of peak torque and this is mated to an eight speed dual clutch transmission,
03:37which is one of the best in its class, also, I mean, the shifts are really, really quick,
03:43you have five modes, there is an off-road mode also, so on eco, the shifts will be really quick,
03:50on sports, it will hold the shift and same goes for your steering inputs, so the steering wheel
03:55has, I mean, the steering wheel gets stiffer when you put it from eco to sport or maybe comfort
04:02mode, so the steering wheel adjusts, the throttle response increases, apart from that, the suspension
04:08does not change, it gets a regular spring and a strut combination, it does not get electronic
04:14dampers, if you're going on a long journey, this car will definitely, I mean, prove its worth,
04:19because first of all, it has got a lot of space, you get a massive, massive boot, plus you have
04:24four people that can sit, I mean, five people can sit, but four comfortably, you've got a massive
04:29panoramic sunroof and if you talk about the performance, since this is a diesel, so it has got
04:36good and a strong mid-range and top-end, however, the initial acceleration is slightly linear,
04:43but if you put it on sports, I mean, that thing just disappears, so on sport, the lagginess is
04:49completely gone, whether be it from the steering wheel or be it from the throttle pedal and this
04:56colour that you see over here, this is the first time Mercedes is introducing this colour
05:02and this is out with the new 2024 GLA, also safety wise, I mean, top-notch, you have nine airbags,
05:09you have ABS, traction control, you have ADAS, so I mean, there is everything to keep you safe
05:15in this car. Now, let's talk about the pricing, so the GLA comes in two variants and three engine
05:21options, one is petrol and, I mean, one is diesel, so this is the 220d and if you talk about the
05:30pricing, this is priced at rupees, almost rupees 56 lakh rupees ex-showroom and on road, you can
05:36calculate it according to whichever state you are in, so 56 lakh rupees ex-showroom is what you will
05:42for the all-new 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLA AMG line. Now, if you like this video, please give it a
