Lolita Cercel, an artist created with the help of artificial intelligence, exploded into trending on TikTok, YouTube and streaming platforms, collecting millions of views in just a few weeks.

But the viral success sparked a REVOLT among local artists:

Many say that AI-generated music steals the chance of real artists who work for years for a place in the charts. 

Some voices even demand the blocking of Lolita's accounts on TikTok as a sign of protest. 

A Roma rights activist criticizes the project for exploiting Roma cultural identity in a virtual project, considering the gesture "inhumane". 

The project was launched by a young man who introduces himself as Tom, and so far "Lolita" has 7 songs published and appears as a verified artist on major platforms.
