00:03Tom Homan has been tasked by the US president to work with local authorities in Minneapolis.
00:08As Trump's special advisor on immigration, this is how the president described him.

00:46to separate migrant children from their parents who tried to illegally cross into the US.
00:51Under his leadership, thousands of families were separated at the Mexican border in 2018.
00:56With around 4,700 children torn from their parents and placed in shelters.
01:02Despite the controversy, Tom Homan maintained that border security was his priority.
