00:00Hey everyone, and welcome back to our channel.
00:03Today we're going on an amazing adventure back in time to meet one of the wisest kings who ever lived.
00:09His name was Solomon, and his story is like a real-life superhero tale.
00:13But instead of superpowers, his great power was wisdom.
00:17So, imagine this. Solomon had just become the new king of a big, important country called Israel.
00:24It was a huge job. He was young and felt a little nervous.
00:28He thought, well, I'm the king now, but I'm just a kid.
00:32How am I supposed to lead all these people and make good choices for them?
00:36He knew he needed help.
00:38One night, something incredible happened.
00:40God spoke to Solomon in a dream and said,
00:43Solomon, ask for whatever you want me to give you.
00:46Now, what would you ask for?
00:48A mountain of toys? A lifetime supply of ice cream?
00:52Maybe tons of money to buy anything you wanted?
00:55Solomon could have asked for all of that.
00:57He could have asked to be super rich, famous, or to live for a very, very long time.
01:03But Solomon didn't ask for any of those things.
01:06He thought about his big responsibility as king.
01:09He thought about all the people he had to take care of.
01:12So, he said something that surprised everyone.
01:15He told God,
01:16Think about how humble that was.
01:30Instead of asking for stuff for himself,
01:33he asked for something that would help him serve others better.
01:36He chose wisdom over personal gain.
01:39God was so pleased with Solomon's answer.
01:41God said,
01:42Solomon, because you asked for wisdom to help you lead and didn't ask for a long life or riches for yourself or for bad things to happen to your enemies,
01:52I will give you what you asked for.
01:54I will give you a heart so wise and understanding that there has never been anyone like you before.
02:00And there will never be anyone like you again.
02:03But that's not all.
02:04Because Solomon had been so selfless, God decided to give him the other things too.
02:09God said,
02:10I will also give you what you did not ask for, both riches and honor for the rest of your life.
02:17No other king in the world will be as great as you.
02:20Well, Solomon asked for one good thing, wisdom, and ended up getting everything.
02:25This teaches us a super important lesson when we focus on what truly matters.
02:30Like being kind, helpful, and making good choices, other good things often follow.
02:36So, Solomon woke up and he was the wisest man on earth.
02:40His wisdom wasn't just about knowing a lot of facts, like in a trivia game.
02:44It was a special kind of understanding that helped him solve problems and be a fair and just ruler.
02:51His wisdom was a gift that helped him see the truth in tricky situations.
02:55Let me tell you about one famous story that shows just how wise he was.
02:59One day, two women came to King Solomon.
03:03They were both holding one baby and they were arguing.
03:06One woman said,
03:07Your majesty, this is my baby.
03:09The other woman shouted,
03:11No, it's mine.
03:12They went back and forth, and no one knew who was telling the truth.
03:16This was a really tough problem.
03:18How could Solomon figure out who the real mom was?
03:21He thought for a moment, using his special wisdom.
03:24Then he said something shocking.
03:26He said,
03:27Bring me a sword, we will cut.
03:29The baby in two, and each of you can have half.
03:32Everyone in the courtroom gasped, but Solomon was watching the two women very closely.
03:37The first woman said,
03:39Yes, that's fair.
03:40If I can't have him, then she can't either.
03:43But the second woman, the real mother, started to cry.
03:47She said,
03:47No, please, your majesty, don't harm the baby.
03:51Give him to her.
03:52Just let him live.
03:54In that moment, Solomon knew the truth.
03:56A real mother would never want her child to be hurt,
03:59even if it meant she couldn't keep him.
04:02So, Solomon pointed to the crying woman and said,
04:05Give the baby to her.
04:07She is the real mother.
04:08Everyone was amazed.
04:10News of Solomon's incredible wisdom spread far and wide.
04:14People from all over the world travel to Israel just to hear him speak and learn from him.
04:19Queens and kings came with difficult questions,
04:22and Solomon could answer them all.
04:25His wisdom was like a bright light that attracted everyone
04:28because of his great leadership.
04:30The kingdom of Israel became very peaceful and prosperous.
04:34People were happy.
04:36They felt safe.
04:37And the country grew.
04:38Strong, Solomon built amazing buildings,
04:41including a beautiful temple for God.
04:43He had so much wealth and honor,
04:46just as God had promised.
04:48But it all started with his one humble request
04:50for an understanding heart.
04:51Solomon's story shows us that true wealth isn't just about having lots of money or cool stuff.
04:58The real treasure is wisdom.
05:00It's the ability to make good choices,
05:02to be fair,
05:03and to understand people.
05:05It's about being humble enough to know that we don't have all the answers,
05:08and that it's okay to ask for help.
05:10So, how can we be a little more like Solomon in our own lives?
05:14Well, we can start by listening.
05:17When our parents, teachers, or friends are talking,
05:20we can listen carefully to understand them better.
05:23That's a part of wisdom.
05:25We can also learn from our mistakes.
05:27When we mess up, instead of feeling bad,
05:30we can think,
05:30okay, what can I learn from this so I can do better next time?
05:34Every mistake can be a stepping stone to becoming wiser.
05:38And just like Solomon,
05:39we can be humble.
05:40We can admit when we don't know something and be open to learning from others.
05:45Asking for help isn't a sign of weakness.
05:48It's a sign of strength and wisdom.
05:50It shows that you want to grow and be the best person you can be.
05:54Solomon's reign shows us that when a leader truly cares about their people
05:58and uses wisdom to make decisions,
06:01everyone benefits.
06:02His story is a powerful reminder that if you seek wisdom first,
06:06if you try to be a good, kind, and understanding person,
06:10you'll be rich in ways that matter most.
06:13You'll have good friends.
06:14You'll make smart choices.
06:16And you'll have a positive impact on the world around you.
06:19Remember, the greatest treasures are the ones you can't hold in your hand,
06:23like wisdom, kindness, and an understanding heart.
06:27They are worth more than all the gold in the world.
