Jehu’s furious ride ended at the royal city of Jezreel. What followed was a brutal and swift execution of judgment that brought a definitive end to decades of tyranny and spiritual corruption in Israel.

In this episode, we analyze:
- The Confrontation at the Vineyard: The poetic justice of King Joram meeting Jehu on the very land stolen from Naboth.
- The Defiant Queen: The psychology behind Jezebel painting her eyes and fixing her hair before her demise.
- The Treachery of the Eunuchs: How those closest to power are often the first to turn when the tide changes.
- The Word of Elijah: A chilling look at how a prophecy spoken decades earlier was fulfilled precisely in the dust of Jezreel.

00:00The fall of Jezreel, the end of an era.
00:03Jehu's chariot tore into the outskirts of Jezreel, his horses breathing heavily from the relentless pace.
00:08King Joram of Israel, recovering from battle wounds, rode out to meet him alongside King Ahaziah of Judah.
00:15They met at a highly specific and cursed piece of ground, the property that had once belonged to Naboth the
00:21Jezreelite.
00:22This was the very vineyard that Joram's mother, Jezebel, had stolen through conspiracy,
00:26to Kishul murder, and lies decades earlier.
00:29Joram called out to his commander,
00:31Is it peace, Jehu?
00:32Jehu's reply cut through the air like a sword.
00:35What peace can there be, so long as the whorings and the sorceries of your mother Jezebel are so many?
00:40Realizing the betrayal, Joram turned his reins to flee, shouting, treason, Ahaziah.
00:46But Jehu drew his bow with full strength.
00:49The arrow pierced Joram between his shoulders, passing through his heart, and he collapsed in his chariot.
00:54Jehu ordered his captain to cast the body into Naboth's field, declaring that the lord had remembered the blood of
01:00the innocent.
01:01With the king dead, Jehu entered the gates of the city.
01:04High above the courtyard, Queen Jezebel heard the commotion.
01:07She knew her time was short, and her dynasty was collapsing.
01:11Yet, instead of hiding or weeping, she chose defiance.
01:14She painted her eyes, adorned her head, and looked out the window, waiting for the conqueror.
01:20As Jehu entered the gate, she mocked him from above, comparing him to Simri, a notorious traitor who ruled for
01:26only seven days.
01:28Jezebel attempted to use her presence to intimidate the rebel commander, but her political power had already evaporated.
01:34Jehu didn't argue with her.
01:36He simply looked up at the window and shouted into the palace,
01:39Who is on my side?
01:41Who?
01:41Two or three units, the very servants who had spent two years catering to the queen, looked out at him.
01:47Jehu gave a brutal three-word command.
01:50Threw her down, without hesitation.
01:52The servants gripped the elderly queen.
01:54They hurled her out of the window.
01:56Her blood splattered against the stone wall, and the forces of Jehu's chariot trampled her underfoot.
02:02It was a cold, unceremonious end for a woman who had once dominated the religious and political landscape of an
02:08entire nation.
02:09After the violence, Jehu went inside to eat.
02:12He eventually paused and gave an order to bury her, noting she was a king's daughter.
02:17But when the soldiers went outside to collect her remains, they found almost nothing left.
02:22The stray dogs had consumed her body.
02:24They found only her skull, her feet, and the palms of her hands.
02:28He remembered the terrifying words of Elijah the Tishvite.
02:32In the territory of Jezreel, the dorks shall eat the flesh of Jezebel, so that they cannot say,
02:37This is Jezebel.
02:38Decades of delay had not softened the divine decree.
02:41The house built on tyranny, idolatry, and blood had crumbled into the dirt.
02:46To understand the depth of this tragedy, one must look back.
02:50King Ahab had married Jezebel, a princess of Sidon.
02:53She brought the worship of Baal and Asherah into Israel.
02:56They built a house of ivory and a temple for a foreign god.
02:59It was Elijah the Tishvite who first stood against them, declaring a trout that lasted three years.
03:05On Mount Carmel, the fire of God fell, consuming the sacrifice, while the prophets of Baal stood powerless.
03:12Yet even after this victory, Jezebel's wrath drove Elijah into the wilderness.
03:16The corruption was not merely spiritual, but moral.
03:20The story of Naboth's vineyard is the pinnacle of their lawlessness.
03:23Ahab desired a vineyard that Naboth refused to sell.
03:26Jezebel orchestrated a marked trial, accusing Naboth of blasphemy and having him stoned to death so Ahab could take the
03:33land.
03:33It was in that vineyard that Elijah met Ahab and delivered the final sentence.
03:38In the place where dogs lick the blood of Naboth, dogs will lick yours.
03:42This prophecy echoed through the years until it finally reached its fulfillment, the gates of Jezreel.
03:47The fall of Jezebel was the total eradication of a legacy built on suffering.
03:52The dogs in the street did not care for her royal lineage.
03:55And so, the era of Ahab ended as it began in blood and prophecy.
03:59Justice may take time, but the debt is always paid in full.
