00:15After all, other universes might mean alternate rules for everything.
00:18In fact, some theories suggest that when the Big Bang happened here,
00:21there may have been other Big Bangs happening making other universes.
00:24Some physicists even suggest that Big Bangs are happening all the time.
00:28And as each one occurs, a new universe is born.
00:31And string theory, which suggests that everything in the universe is connected,
00:34and composed of vibrating strings, also suggests multiple universes.
00:38These other planes are so interwoven with our own that they can't be detected.
00:41But each could have its own microphysics differing from our own.
00:44So what's the deal? Is our universe the only one? And is our place in it just that special?
00:48Well, the short answer is we don't know.
00:50But physicists seem to be growing in agreement that something is going on.
00:53The issue is we can't observe these alternate universes.
00:56But the physics just doesn't add up in our own universe.
00:59So perhaps as we understand more and more, in likely the far distant future,
