00:00This is an ancient tomb discovered just last year in China called the Wangzhuang Ruins.
00:09The burial chamber is an exceptionally large 182 square feet,
00:13and now experts say they have dated the site as having been built some 5,000 years ago.
00:18The area was likely occupied during the Daewonku culture,
00:20which existed in the area from around 4,000 BC to 2,600 BC,
00:25with the archaeologists saying that this tomb specifically,
00:27given its size and wealth of artifacts, likely belong to royalty.
00:31Since its discovery, archaeologists have unearthed some 350 artifacts.
00:35Experts also say that this likely means the ruins around the tomb
00:38are the remains of the ancient civilization's capital.
00:41This is just one of many tombs discovered recently in central China's Henan province.
00:46This year alone, some 45 Daewonku culture tombs have been unearthed.
00:50As part of other excavations, archaeologists have uncovered around 1,000 burial artifacts,
00:54providing new clues about the long-lost peoples.
00:57The Daewonku culture was one of the first in Asia to begin farming
01:00and making pottery and musical instruments.
