00:00Gentlemen, you both have not had ample opportunity to talk about the game
00:06and give us your thoughts on the game.
00:07So, Zo, just go at it.
00:09I quickly talked to you guys yesterday.
00:11Sorry I wasn't here, but you guys got to do basically the same show
00:14that you did yesterday, maybe a little twist.
00:16But I think it comes down to the fourth and one.
00:18For me, that was it.
00:19That was the ball game.
00:21You got Jared Stidham, who was in a little bit of a rhythm there early
00:24in that game.
00:25You're controlling that game.
00:26You're controlling the tempo.
00:27You have it fourth and basically inches.
00:31Take the three points.
00:32Take the ten-point lead.
00:33That's a two-possession lead.
00:35AFC title game.
00:36Week 8, you go for it.
00:38I have no problem.
00:39You go for it in week 8.
00:40In that mode, in that situation, in that coach,
00:44he's not going to sleep all offseason.
00:46He knows it.
00:47I know he said something different in the postgame,
00:50but, David, you've been there.
00:51Two-possession lead, on the road, those conditions, that's a gimme.
00:55That's a gimme for me.
00:56And I think, too, you're at home.
00:58Like, you have the crowd in your face.
01:00I could understand it a little bit more if you were the road team.
01:02Like, hey, we go up 14 to 0 here.
01:06We shut this crowd up.
01:07You're at home.
01:08Right.
01:08You've got the crowd at your back.
01:10And I don't know.
01:11I wasn't looking at the weather.
01:13They had to know there was a chance of this storm coming in to Denver.
01:17I don't think we did either, though.
01:19Like, they said there was going to be snow showers.
01:20Nobody said it was going to be like that.
01:22Yeah, I mean, but if you're thinking, like, hey, we've got a great defense,
01:26like, and the flow of the game, like, the Patriots were struggling.
01:31Like, hey, our defense is playing well.
01:33Like, my offense was dead.
01:34Yeah.
01:34Yeah.
01:35Like, one of my first notes is I thought the Patriots kind of looked flat
01:38at the start of the game, you know?
01:40So that, to me, is the game-changing play was the coaching decision.
01:46They look like they did at Cincinnati.
01:47Yeah.
01:47Without the pick.
01:48Yeah.
01:48And then, obviously, the weather comes in, and that changes the whole
01:51dynamic of the game.
01:52Yeah, neither team could throw.
01:53No.
01:54No.
01:54You hit the flea flicker, though.
01:55You did hit the flea flicker.
01:57I mean, it was still.
01:58The Beatles had six-pack.
02:00He hit that.
02:01Trickery.
02:02Yeah.
02:03Trickery, yes.
02:03Yeah.
02:04And one of the more important games of the year.
02:05They were not afraid to break that out on that play.
02:08I said yesterday, to lead off, that yesterday was the type of game
02:13that we had become accustomed to seeing over the years in New England,
02:17which was head coaching being a big factor in a game and winning
02:22on the margins, as I put it, right?
02:25Winning in small situations that you get right and the other team doesn't.
02:32And I thought there were a bunch of examples in that game where the
02:34Patriots were doing something that was really smart.
02:36And on the other side, the Broncos did a lot of things that I found were
02:40really stupid.
