00:00Well the National Executive Committee, Labour's ruling NEC, has taken the decision that Andy will not be the candidate in the Gorton and Denton by-election
00:08because if he was, there would need to be a by-election for the Mayor of Manchester, which is the size of around 20 constituencies.
00:17Now Andy was elected to serve four years as Mayor of Manchester, he's only served two so far.
00:22So the Labour Party will go ahead, we will select a candidate to fight the Gorton and Denton by-election
00:28and we will stand on our record and we'll fight to win.
