00:00It's Taylor Swift versus Ticketmaster round two. Early Tuesday morning, Ticketmaster opened the
00:05online pre-sales for the first of four pair of shows for Swift's The Ares Tour, set for May 9th,
00:1210th, 11th, and 12th of 2024. Over a million Swifties queued up for the first set of ticket
00:17sales, which opened at 9 a.m. But less than 15 minutes later, French Ticketmaster tweeted that
00:23they were working on some technical difficulties. An hour into the sale, with reportedly no movement
00:28in the queue, the company announced it was suspending both the 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. sales,
00:33and adding, we will keep you posted with a new on-sale time as soon as possible. All codes not
00:39already used will remain valid. The tickets were on general release, and fans had to sign up to be put
00:44into a lottery in order to get a code to redeem for tickets. The company did not give any explanation
00:50for the suspension. This isn't the first time Ticketmaster has botched sales for a Taylor Swift
00:55concert. The company had major technical issues with its presale of the Ares Tour tickets in
01:00November, with more than two dozen fans filing suits against Ticketmaster and its parent company,
01:05Live Nation. Swift herself commented on the debacle, saying,
01:09It really pisses me off that a lot of the people who were able to buy tickets feel like they went
01:13through several bear attacks to get them. For more updates to this story, head to THR.com.
