00:06Police authorities confirmed the discovery of the three dead bodies on public roads in
00:11different parts of New York City, an elderly man in Manhattan and a man and a woman in
00:16Brooklyn neighborhoods.
00:18While the bodies show no size of violence, freezing temperatures and wind chills of up
00:22to minus 17 degrees point to the hypothesis of death by hypothermia.
00:27Mayor Sora Mandami expressed his deep concern about these events, which highlight the critical
00:32situation of homelessness faced by the most vulnerable sectors in one of the world's
00:36most popular cities.
00:38Also four people died in the states of Texas, Missouri and Kansas as a result of the cold
00:43spell.
