00:00In her new Elle cover story, Taylor Swift opened up about her greatest fear, acts of violence
00:04directed toward her fans and herself. And now, it's easy to understand why. One of the pop star
00:09stalkers has been arrested once again following his release from jail, this time for breaking
00:14into her Manhattan townhouse after serving six months in jail for doing just that back in April.
00:20According to the Associated Press, authorities say Roger Alvarado of Homestead, Florida,
00:24was arrested around 2.30 a.m. Thursday. He allegedly climbed a ladder to a second-floor
00:29patio and smashed a glass door to get inside. No one was home at the time. Now, this marks at least
00:35the third time he's been found at the singer's residence. Alvarado was also arrested in February
00:392018 on charges of breaking the front door with a shovel. A message requesting comment was emailed
00:45to Swift's representative. Court records didn't list a lawyer who could comment on Alvarado's behalf.
00:49This news comes just a day after Elle published a list, written by Taylor, of 30 things the singer's
00:54songwriter has learned before her 30th birthday. She listed lesson number seven as her greatest
00:59fear, writing,
00:59I carry a quick-clot army-grade bandage dressing, which is for gunshot or stab wounds.
01:04Websites and tabloids have taken it upon themselves to post every home address I've ever had online.
01:09You get enough stalkers trying to break into your house, and you kind of start prepping for bad things.
01:15But, she continued,
01:16Every day I try to remind myself of the good in the world, the love I've witnessed, and the faith I have in humanity.
01:21We have to live bravely in order to truly feel alive, and that means not being ruled by our greatest fears.
