00:07heightening already existing tensions in the city.
00:11The victim has been identified as Alex Preti, a 37-year-old Minneapolis resident and intensive care unit nurse.
00:19After the shooting, hundreds of people took to the streets to protest against the presence of agents in their state,

00:30Right now we are focused on getting ICE out of the state.
00:34And of course we will use every lever that we have.
00:38But I do remind people that Donald Trump runs the White House.
00:45And sadly, because to date we have not seen the Republican members of Congress standing up, he also seems to run the Congress.
00:53Homeland Security said agents fired defensive shots after a man with a handgun approached and resisted attempts to disarm him during an operation.
01:04But videos filmed by bystanders showed Preti holding a phone with no clear sign of him wielding a weapon.
01:12Minnesota Governor Tim Walls said he had no confidence in federal officials and the state would lead the investigation into the shooting.
01:20The incident marks the second fatal shooting of a U.S. citizen by immigration enforcement officials in Minneapolis this month.
